Ladder on frame? Huh. That's a new one.

I actually think the Touareg looks a lot more like the Phaeton (FOLLY IT IS NOT!) than a B5.5 wagon (have a brother than owned a 5.5 wagon for a while).

Oh, I fought it and I eventually won. Even with the increase the price was lower than I could get anywhere else. I just had to send in things like the police report and a couple angry phone calls/emails.

That has got to be the most ignorant statement I've ever heard. Situation awareness can't help you when you've had to come to a sudden stop on the expressway and are now suddenly trapped in the middle of three lanes and someone behind you is barreling down at you. Nothing short of a Spidey Sense will help you there.

Well, that would be a B5.5 Passat.

You've clearly never been in an accident. Just because you weren't at fault doesn't mean your rates won't go up. I was rear ended on the highway once (had to emergency stop because the fellow in front of me did to avoid a tire that came loose from a big rig). I was stopped and got rear ended by a TrailBlazer.

Wat...

Assuming your company does offer that, you'd still be using up your one free pass. What happens if you get T-Boned two months later?

And suffer when his rates go through the roof?

The new one by comparison looks like an old man's butt. It seems to sag. It lost the cleanliness it once had. It seems to have pulled features from an early 2000 DeVille, which is an old man car

Stoopid, stooooopid writers.

I like the new CTS and ATS... but whats with the old man butts?

Hopefully. The center stack of the Escape, Focus and Fiesta are the worst.

The rear end looks gross. Needs a bumper or something.

And here I am thinking the grille insert looks out of place from the rest of the car...

This just a facelift with some minor additions?

I can see it if you try. But now I'm curious as to what a good mash-up of a Challenger and a E46 would look like.

To me, the mkIV's (both Jetta and Golfs) smelled like an old box of crayola crayons. I believe it had something to do with the plastics used in the dashboard and hot summer days.

The whole number of cylinders argument is stoopid. Whys would you want a V6 (or I'm assuming you are talking about a VR6) in a car this small? It's heavier and doesn't put much more power/torque. All it has going for it in a Golf is the glorious sound. But hey, I'm a realist. I'll take the lighter weight any day.

How can you go wrong for $1400? As long as it's not a rusted pile and it runs reasonably well, pretty much any car is worth $1400.
