Imagine dedicating a not insignificant portion of your time to trolling a blog.

That fridge certainly looks like a lot of money went into it.

To each their own but that movie was amazing!

Reminds me of a line in The English Patient, "a woman should never learn how to sew, and if she does, she should never let anyone find out about it".

You obviously have no clue that stupid police forces are the preferred default. Stupid cops are easier to manipulate and are more likely to perform immoral actions because they’re convinced otherwise. Sadly, I’m not kidding. Police forces seek out the lesser intellectually inclined, arguing they do this because smarter

Seriously, she shot her twice in the back as she was fleeing because she feared having her gun taken??

It’s about the deputy feeling disrespected I’d wager. Cops are so twitchy about it and think just because of who they are they deserve respect.

“I am not as comfortable with this one as the last one.”

File sharing sites often have them.

That’s not 100% true. Let’s say it’s like 90% true. I work for Costco, and they genuinely treat their employees and customers very well. I am just a part-time retail worker, but I get paids leave, vacation, and an amazing benefits package besides. All that on top of a very competitive wage for my effort.

BTW, does the British spelling of “realised” really warrant a [sic]?

If you say ‘If I’d wanted her, I would’ve taken her!’, you probably do not have the lady’s best interests in mind. You likely just did not want to lose a competition.

The only actual fistfight I’ve ever witnessed in my entire life was between two Buddhist guys in a park arguing about some interpretation of Buddhist scripture. (They were known to be pretty nuts in general, though.) I’ll never forget the sound of that punch....

He was still talking about violence, just a different sort. The violence of an anti-abortion movement that’s happy to kill doctors in defense of the unborn while depriving children of the care they need to succeed, rather than the violence of mass shootings. In either case, the quote applies.

As a K-12 school designer, I absolutely worry what effect these designs have on children and teachers. It's disgusting that our country's response to violence is not to implement common sense restrictions on the tools of that violence, but instead to place this psychological burden on children. Fuck the NRA, may they

Same. There’s also the weird side effect of being extremely uncomfortable having my picture taken. These days, nearly every social get-together is full of people who think nothing’s worth doing unless you take thousands of god damned photos of everyone doing it and post them on social media, and inevitably I have to

The industry can’t really be trying. I post a 30 second video with almost indecipherable music in the background and it’s flagged for copyright infringement and taken down in minutes... Are you telling me AI couldn’t put a measurable dent in this?

Separately, the Department of Homeland Security this year diverted nearly $6 million from its cybercrimes units to immigration enforcement — depleting 40 percent of the units’ discretionary budget until the final month of the fiscal year.

We discovered two years ago that my husband’s step-father was grooming our son. He had been doing all kinds of awful things in clear escalation of grossness, clearly prepping him for the worst kinds of sexual abuse. Our son told us he’d (among many other things) been taking pics of him while he was changing clothes.
