Radiohead? :(
Radiohead? :(
It is, but following a woman all the way home (and even getting on the train with her) isn't "a little bit creepy" that's really creepy. It's threatening and scary and shows a disdain for other people's boundaries that really makes you wonder what other boundaries he thinks it's OK to cross. The whole thing is still…
I don't know, it felt to me like she was shown as being annoyed, or at worst angry. But not scared or threatened, which is how I think most women (and probably a lot of men) find these experiences. Yeah, he was more or less shown as being in the wrong, but it was still far too forgiving of him.
Fair enough, hope the pile-on doesn't get too bad. ;)
Yup, like Louis C.K. basically talking about feminist issues on his show then turning around and having an episode where his lovable, bumbling character follows a woman home from her job (despite repeated rejections) and it's treated as NBD.
If he's invested in feminism because he has a girlfriend who schooled him on feminism and told him about her experiences, is that better or worse than if he'd just taken it up as an interest on his own? I feel like guys who just spontaneously become feminists on their own get accused of being phony, of only being in…
This pun is almost as good as the one in your username.
I think I remember your post and I'm really glad you managed to make some changes. I always have a suspicion that people who post online have no real intention of making changes (I've been guilty of this in the past) so it's really good to hear about someone managing it.
Millhouse as the Tetsuo to Bart's Kaneda is just perfect though. That alone has redeemed this for me.
Once the hair grows back it'll look even classier.
An old car is one of the examples they often use to illustrate this phenomenon.
Maybe this is irrational, but I'd be worried about someone other than the authorities taking the child. You hear about babies being snatched from hospitals, would this just make those kind of abductions easier?
I think a big part of this must be due to the sunk cost fallacy. This woman has invested so much money into this guy that she feels like she can't afford for him not to be real, meaning she has to keep sending him more money. If she admits he's fake then spending all that money was for nothing.
So...you want us to be Klingons?
Wilmore wins because his video didn't autoplay and blast noise into my earphones.
Are they real police officers? I assumed not.
Actually now I come to think of it I remember watching "Bowling for Columbine" and being amazed that when they showed the shitty parts of Michigan everyone still had detached homes. So I guess it's not that much of a stretch.
I only saw a few episodes of Roseanne as a kid but didn't they have a massive detached house? I've heard a few people talk about it being a working class sitcom and always rolled my eyes because their place seemed like a palace compared to the small flats that most poor people live in here in the UK.
What about their phones? And what adult wants to cut back on their blog-reading and pinterest boards to share the computer with their kids? I remember when the family TV had to be shared so my brother and I could play video games on it, the number of arguments it generated was amazing. That's how we ended up with a TV…
I may be harbouring some resentment towards you since you changed both your avatar and screen name. I don't even know who you are anymore.
