I remember that quote from Franken.

he would've been better of dumping the booze and keeping the occasional weed indulgence.

i thought the same thing.

ya mean have Debbie Gibson on as guest?

Wonder if Jimmy Fallon hosting has anything to do with his dip in ratings? Here's hoping he doesn't bring Timberlake along….

Leeeee Harvey…. you are a maaaaaaad man.

I'm glad you put "peak TV" in quotes. This isn't a golden era. There have always been good TV shows. There's just more now that the ratio seems better but it's probably pretty much the same from when there were just 3 networks.

I thought Bobby Lee was pretty great in this episode. Was bummed they didn't really do much else with him the rest of this season. Where is his Apatow-blessed show?

I'm not really familiar with Rust outside of this show. Except that pretty lame Pee-wee movie he co-wrote…. but is this theme song party thing something he's known for? It feels like something ripped from real life. It feels like a bit from an act.

if you skipped right past it how do you know it was an accurate depiction?

if i remember correctly Janet needed Jack to go to a party with her and to get to said party it involved flying in a helicopter. Jack was afraid of flying so he took a pill. Then had a drink which mixed with the pill brought on the classic comedy. Antenna TV just ran a marathon this past weekend and right when i tuned

Sure you could take her comments as bitterness but I believe there's a lot of truth in her words too.

Eh…. Doesn't look like anything special. The Mike Myers bit is funny but even that feels like something we've seen before. Be weird if he doesn't use the Paul Simon song in the movie.

yeah but he couldn't get the voice

the only time the Five Timers Club was funny was the first time they did it with Tom Hanks. its never been a funny bit since then and these days its really not a big deal because it feels like every season someone is joining it.

I've been thinking the same thing about Day this season. There've been more than one episode where it seemed almost like The Mikey Day Show.

shame he seems hellbent on making nothing but Avatar movies for the rest of his career. hes a talented filmmaker and itd be great to see him working on different stuff.

well then AV Club will cover it for days like they do when SNL mentions them.

wow i really don't pay any attention to late night talk shows anymore…. but I thought things had been settled and Fallon's softball interviews and game playing was imbedded as #1. I thought Colbert was DOA. Guess I was wrong. Interesting developments. Still won't get me to watch any of them though.

This is almost as embarrassing as the AV Club's recent fawning over their SNL shout-outs.
