I think he is more than capable of working in that structure if the impetus/respect is there. Might not be critically acclaimed, but he pretty much built Awesome's 'event' (and most of its continuity).

This was literally on heavy rotation when I was at school. Even more than Doctorin' the TARDIS. Pure class.

I keep thinking I'm a fan of the Phantom Menace - nostalgia - but then I realise I'm actually a fan of the whole Phantom Edit thing and it always sort of surprises me when I see the *actual* TPM.

100% agreed on that front. Wasn’t keen on Loop, but as someone who is obviously a glutton for punishment, I’d kind of like to read the S. novels if they ever get translated.

... at least Beat Takeshi looks good as Aramaki... but still...

That sort of show this in the recent Sadako films. Sadly, those films are such hard work that there is very little joy to be had in witnessing such a sight.

I'll stand up and be the one person in the room who liked Rasen.

You deserve so much respect for this comment.

Ryan is a deal-breaker. I’ve refrained from watching the new Murderverse stuff, but I’d consider this outing, as long as Ryan was involved - and I absolutely loathed the luke-warm-piss TV adaptation, yet there’s no denying he’s good as Constantine. As an aside, it would be nice if they learnt to pronounce his name

I remember being surprisingly impressed by the '98 series - especially their take on Destroy All Monsters.

It’s really not about respecting Chinese investors, it’s about affording dignity to Hong Kong - and also it's kind of like not photoshopping the Statue of Liberty into the middle of the Canadian Rockies. Because it makes you look stupid..

Cat's Eye is a perfect film. Let's hope the Night Flier is next!

Aren't parts of the score completely recycled for Anakin/Padme's love theme in Episode II? Or am I utterly misremembering that one and confusing it with some other Williams score?

Should have got Christian Bale to play the Joker. :p
