I was going to post something trite about the 13th amendment.

I was one of the kids who had a severe reaction to the MMR vaccines. Had a pretty bad fever from the vaccination when I was one, and have permanent hearing loss in both ears as a result. It was one in a million, but it does happen.

Yes! "The state doesn't own your children, parents own their children, and it is an issue of freedom." By his argument, parents should be able to do anything, anything to their children! Abuse, selling them, killing them. The state shouldn't step in for any reason, because kids are property, and property rights are

The state doesn't own your children, parents own their children

Everything is an "issue with freedom" for this guy and his party, unless you have a uterus. Here he is arguing that parents know what is best for their children, not the government because freedom and all, yet maintains that women should have big brother intrude in to our reproductive system. My laundry soap could

"...The state doesn't own your children, parents own their children, and it is an issue of freedom." - Rand Paul

Parents do not own their children. That's just a really weird and disturbing way of looking at parenthood. It's also not all that backed up by law or logic. I can sell my tv on Craigslist and yet those who have tried to do the same with children have found that the law frowns upon it and will put them in jail for it.

I was born in the Middle East and am in my early 20s, so I was vaccinated for polio. I REMEMBER getting the 3 doses of the oral vaccine. Like, I must have been 2/3/4. But I still remember the 3 different times I had to get it. So it pisses me right the fuck off that people like to conveniently forget that these

Eh, I'm going to say no.

You clearly don't understand. [Probably because you're a bear and not a man. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Except for the part about you not being a man.]

Mr. Baker, as a man, I fail to see the problem with having multiple highly-qualified women candidates. If a strong woman scares a man who is considering a run for office from pursuing it, I think that says a hell of a lot more about the quality of the male candidate than the female candidate.

GUARD YOUR DICKS...THE GYNOCRACY IS NIGH!!!!!!!!

So she's nine now?

Yes, there is a bad type of equality. For example: everybody being equally poor is a bad type of equality. A good type of equality in this case would be for men to not do mandated military services, e.g. men benefitting from the privilege in this case women have, like when in other cases women benefit from the

Not that hard, striped hyenas and packs of meerkats are more pro-women then the Saudi Arabian Government.

Here's a wish for a North Korean Arya to rise out of this... *Wish!*

I would've at least mentioned Dad or the fact that he managed to shoot both his parents with a single bullet like some sort of unlucky Bizarro universe Batman.

I will bet you any money that there is an entire gun subculture that actively promotes carrying a loaded gun in your handbag and that totally gets off on the idea of women whipping a pistol out of the purse and shooting the baddie like a mama bear protecting her cubs. I'm really not joking. After my house was broken

Yeah, I understand there are character limits in the headlines, but BOTH the parents were shot - and, as you said, the father was probably injured much more severely - so it's strange to omit the father from the headline entirely in favor of alerting us to the presence of a fetus. (Also smacks of the classic "women's

They have a 3 yr old, a 2 yr old and another one almost born and they are living in a motel room. No, I'm not at all surprised they would keep a loaded handgun accessible to children. I imagine their whole world is just one bad decision after another.
