I agree with you. Further, I think interviewers will often ask her questions about Jim. I think there are some pre-existing ideas about women/how women should behave that are shaping how the commenter you are talking to understands/sees this situation.

Judging from the tidbit about her breaking into his house in order to bath, I think personal cleanliness is important to her. She needed the energy to maintain that kind of texting schedule, so she must have eaten. If she eschewed any of these it was sleep, she made some pretty questionable life choices here.
