This has been a somewhat ironic situation for me.

If Ezra Miller hadn’t turned out to be a full-blown wackoloon, then I think the film would have done significantly better. His ongoing mental meltdown created a PR stench that I’m sure still lingers in the mental nose of many comic book fans, regardless of their personal feelings or investment in DC as a brand.
