As I recall (having watched it 1000x during my childhood) they fought over something dumb and the woman threw a hairdryer at the guy and left, hoping (expecting?) he would come after her. But he didn’t know she wanted him to so he didn’t lol. The exact thing they fought over is never specified and it doesn’t sound…
The dude has had emotional problems and substance abuse issues for quite some time. Can’t speak to the second part as I don’t read his comics that often, but worth noting that it was not his drawing hand.
Nicki Clyne, she broke her contract on Raniere’s orders. Apparently he also asked one of the Bronfman sisters to give up her equestrian career. What a piece of shit.
She did pretty compelling work on Smallville. Allegedly she quit at the height of her fame because Raniere asked her to, which also happened to the Battlestar Galactica star and others doing really well in their careers. So... that kinda had the opposite effect.
I stopped watching because I can’t stand how annoyingly moralistic, judgmental and boring Jane is. Alba was never a fave but you’re right, it’s probably her influence. In fact the only characters I really loved rarely got much screen time-Petra and Luisa. This seems to be controversial for some reason, I’m glad…
Oh my god. Are all boys like this at 22?
What! That’s nuts!! I wonder what happened to her.
Silver lining: You must be cute af!
Very much agree! Have been pointing this out when articles of her are featured on this site. It’s pretty gross that they don’t even allude to it.
Not that I’m absolving her responsibility, but Mack seems very much like a victim herself... she was apparently forced to take part in a quasi-starvation diet and do a lot of other gross stuff at the command of Raniere. Of course, there are often cases of victims becoming perpetrators & that doesn’t exactly clear them…
A former member opened up about this, I went & found it for you because it’s truly a fascinating read! https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/xwaaxd/why-i-joined-a-secret-society-that-branded-me
At my school you get severely fined if your dorm room isn’t clean after move out, with added fines for every little thing like holes on the wall or spilled paint... currently trying to figure out how to remove purple moscato & toner stains from the floor but I think I might be fucked
I agree, I hate contributing to the MLMs that spam my newsfeed (from the constant posts in the local groups, so I can’t even unfollow) and plus it’s not like I could afford any of that stuff even if I wanted to... I honestly think it’s super dumb to shell out a bunch of money for ingredients you can get at a lower…
I don’t follow the news that closely but I think he just has one of those faces. He’s probably a decent guy tho.
Actually I was super skeptical too but I read an article that says R&F actually does work, even though it’s probably hugely overpriced for what it is. Its founders are the people who founded Proactiv too. I’m always fascinated by these scammy MLMs, here’s a pretty interesting take on them https://www.allure.com/story/r…
Can’t help you with all of your problems (though you should really check out the subreddit r/skincareaddiction) but I’ve had a lot of luck addressing my hyperpigmentation/scarring with the Ordinary’s alpha arbutin and azelaic acid, and I’ve also heard rosehip oil and vitamin C are great for that. I’m a fairly new…
It’s especially sad because it sounds like she was both a victim and a perpetrator. Apparently she had to run 40 miles a week, keep to a strict 500-800 calorie per day diet, obey Raniere & find sex partners for him (even though she was allegedly super jealous of them), etc. But she’s also recruited a lot of women to…
season 2 actually :)
That was the end of season 2!
