I was going to reply with the same sentiment. As a 7.5 owner there is no way I would trade in for Mk 8 and the only reason is the haptic controls.

The advantage of the GM trucks from that era are that while hideous, the interiors would rattle themselves to the point of the trim falling completely off. So it fixed it’s own problem.

Meanwhile I bought the most stripped down GTI they ever made to avoid being stuck with a fucking sunroof. Sunroof is just a way of asking for water to eventually be in your car. Plus less headroom, added weight, etc. If I want the fresh air I’ll take my Miata out.

For $60k I could get a new S4 that doesn’t have the questionable build characteristics of a SEMA car. Or, for less than half of this, I could pick up another 2013 S4 that doesn’t have the questionable build characteristics of a SEMA car.
