came to the comments for this, glad someone was on it!
OMG THIS IS AMAZING
I’ve actually wondered about a variation on this: there are movie theaters that’ll occasionally pipe in live filming of the Sunday matinee at The Met or similar. I *love* this, as it’s a wonderful option for existing opera fans all over the country (and even more so for people who might be thinking “hey, y’know, I’ve…
Some beautiful genius of a commenter proposed “audible skin tag” almost a year ago (among other gems)...

Yes, he did! I was mildly confused when I got the ballot and Googled it to be sure: Carson ended his campaign on March 4th, Rubio suspended his on March 15th. So yeah, no idea why Rubio was off the WA ballot but not Carson...
actually, I got the Washington primary mail ballot and and Rubio was oddly absent. Carson was still on it though...

Why is this weird or bad? What’s the problem? When two people like each other in normal-non-TV-star life the biggest barriers to get over are things like finding a way to spend time together, sharing experiences, and breaking the ice to get to a situation where you’re able to test the water and see if there’s…

Unfortunately there’s a SUBSTANTIAL difference between “highly educated people” and “highly *scientifically* educated people”. The big swath of English/philosophy/history/liberal arts majors from [insert fancy school here] who took, like, Astronomy 101 or similar freshman year to satisfy their science requirement…
I actually *really* like this explanation. “You don’t need lies...you’re strong enough to see the truth of things” and so on...
I’ve thought for a while that she might pick John Hickenlooper and am surprised his name hasn’t come up more- he’s fairly popular in swingy-but-blue-leaning Colorado, liberal in ways that counterbalance Clinton, and has a present but pretty low-key national profile. He’s also firmly in the “benign white guy” category.
