Presumably you’re not including all the innocent people we’ve executed in that, yes?

I hope you feel the same way when the prices on food in your suburban grocery store go up.
Umm... if anything it would be a sword reference.
They won’t get this money for two reasons: Republicans will use this as an opportunity to squeeze smaller independent farmers out in favor of monolithic agribusiness, and Democrats won’t want to give money to people who not only vote against them, but vote against their own interests. Personally, I hope I’m wrong, but…
I’m dying to know how you make that connection. Just because I didn’t write up a 15,000 word take down on the evils of slavery doesn’t mean that I don’t know or care how awful it was. I’m not waving shit away. It was a terrible mistake, one that this country paid for in blood. But what the fuck else do you expect me…
The disarmament of any people is an assault on not just their liberty, but everyone’s. I don’t care what color your skin is. If you’re not trying to harm me or anyone else, own as many guns as you want and I’ll do the same. That there were racist mistakes made in the past doesn’t change the fact that rights should…
Yeah, all the ultra progressives who have thrown their hats into the ring. They’re gonna get whooped once the Republican scare machine kicks into high gear and Trump gets another electoral college win.
Ohh, so you’re just an idiot and an ideologue. Gotcha.
Yeah you’re totally right, the death and imprisonment of millions of people in the 20th century is just a sub-optimal outcome. I hear North Korea is nice this time of year, maybe you should take a visit?
Yes, and unicorns would be great to have too if they existed. There’s a reason no communist state has gotten past the “totalitarian leaders seizing the means of production and killing the opposition” stage. Anyone who says that communism hasn’t been done properly is just couching their view that if they were the…
It’s going to be interesting to watch them pour millions into primarying AOC.
Global poverty has been halved in the 21st century, specifically from 2000-2012. That’s the most advancement on that front in, well, ever! It certainly didn’t happen from taking from the rich and giving it to the poor. EVERYONE is getting richer. The only issue is that the rich are getting richer much faster than…
Communism seems like a great idea until it kills off hundreds of millions of people. Yet people still insist we give it a try. Some ideas are just fucking garbage.
Right after you ask the descendents of those slaughtered at Wounded Knee. It cuts both ways.
I’m looking forward to buying a Sport S in a couple of years at what will hopefully be a suitably deflated used price.
A man with a box truck killed 80 some people in France. Definitely.
I think there are still some good people working in and with the NRA, and for a long time they were the only organization on the national level protecting the rights of gun owners, but it’s past time Wayne LaPierre was gone. In my eyes he’s doing as much or more harm as good. That and they leave themselves open far too…
While as you said I think in other replies, bump stocks themselves are actually pretty meh as far as I’m concerned, the legal wrangling surrounding them is rather fascinating and makes me wish I’d gone to law school. This case has far wider implications than just bump stocks, or really even firearms.
From the article:
I mean, the fact that the lawyer representing the government offered up no evidence in court that any of the bump stock equipped guns were actually fired, is rather astounding to me. Like, surely they forensically tested all the weapons or could tell visually which one had been recently fired and which had not. Though…
