A very long street for me. You have an easier choice than me.

All items need service. What that is may change, but at some point I will throw my hands up and say “Time for someone to fix it that is not me”. :)
And I live in one of those huge blank areas :)
It was more like 8 minutes. People mentioned service centers have popped up. Searched in my area via Tesla’s website, found the closest super charger and service centers, gave my answer.
My dealership service experience is like the local garage. Make appointment, drop off car the night before, get a call when ready.
For me, it is a bit further. I have to drive to another state (mid point in one and practically on the line of the next state for another). Superchargers, sure. Easy drop off for service, not so much. They come to me, then I don’t care how far they are.
I see this a camp vehicle. Buy/rent a slot, drive to get there, and leave it. Do a seasonal move at most.
I am sorry I do not have intimate knowledge of all things Tesla. I have not any service centers near me.
There are other reason to not buy a Tesla over the price. For example, I need service I just bring it...ooohh right.
Not on the road. In a speedboat, umm yeah.
Combo of 420 and “I am disappointed in your life choices.”
Lets call this a 90 to 95% done driver car and good deal. Sure it has issues, when you are 54 years old you will have some as well.
Quick - Call the Jason phone. We need “Taillight man!”
They can’t solve all the problems. This is still a good step forward.
While it would go out in a fun blaze of glory, a cheap Audi is not a good idea.
“Free Money” is still money. I agree this will make this a less painless process and the value of one less thing to worry about is good.
The dealer I went to was similar. Called up, confirmed car was there, put a hold on it. Drove down, while testing driving had the trade in appraised. Once I confirmed moving ahead, they did the finances while I took the car home for my personal finance officer approval.
It is the cost factor.
