Reminds me of the 86 Chevy Celebrity (Eurosport oh yeah!) my father had. Black exterior, red velour inside. Pretty much all surfaces red.

I agree with the don’t build em like they used to and I say good thing.

This is one of the for the market prices it is right. Would I spend 13.5 on it, nope as I am not a fan. As mentioned, I have seen a few those around here going for 40+ once sorted.

This is a tough one. At first I was “My God the price”. Then I looked and found it is actually on target for the condition. The problem is the Ad looks like a scam-o-matic bot “Please send money via Western Union”.

Another bad transmission car? Combine that with what looks to be a throw parts at it until it appears to be a car job, I have to say 5k is way out of range.

Snowbrush, remote start, and swearing are the methods I use.

I was thinking minor issues until the transmission. Cosmetic I can deal with, the sunroof would be a pain (even a minor fix like a motor or switch). Bad transmission, even at a lower 5k is deal breaker.

I like the work and appreciate it. This goes beyond the throw Autozone parts at it and hope for the best.

If I was looking for a Vette I can actually drive and not a park it in the garage as art, this would join the stable.

Will SamCrac (all respect) buy it at Copart and fix it cheap?

Interesting car, rolling piece of history (not sure if it would be a shame to blow it up), and someone loved it enough to maintain.

“Wow, I really messed that up. Let’s try to sell it.” Summary - No.

And that fact we all know David, this would be fake news.

1200 for a car that needs what would be considered routine items? Sure. A shade tree mechanic could knock this out or if you are willing to spend some money up front pay someone.

CP based on the ad alone. Insult the seller, sorry bye.

My issues were an unreported crash, frame damage, salvage, rebuild. This was before carfax and the like. I did a title search and it came up clean.

I had a 1990 version of a SHO for a few months, that car was not a good example of the model (due to issues with shady practices). For the few months it ran, fun was had.
