I get the sentiment of that, but some reports I have read indicate her online followers were urging her not to back down. IF that is true, disabling the livestream is a smart tactic to try to de-escalate the situation for the safety of the child.

There are reports that people on her Facebook feed were egging her on and encouraging her to start shooting. It's the same reason they cut phone lines in a standoff.

I do agree with you about transparency but I can think of a handful of reasons a live stream of a standoff is a bad idea. The biggest being they don’t want to attract a crowd and increase the potential for more people being hurt.
