They said in an interview that Rebirth will introduce some characters as guest characters like Red XIII was in Remake. So we might be waiting until the 3rd game to have a fully playable Cid and Vincent.

Really the news here is that they are being open about it and sharing details of the development process which studios don’t normally share with the public.
Probably no. The main draw for me for the Switch is portability.
I don’t think there really is much of a chance any other companies would pay for it. I’m sure it is a decent engine, but why would you use it instead of Unity or Unreal? Those are already widely used across the industry so it’s fairly easy to get staff who already have experience with them. They are actively…
They won’t be exclusive to Ubisoft+ either.
Because it means they won’t be exclusive to xCloud, as Ubisoft can license the rights out to multiple cloud gaming platforms. That’s the theory anyway.
That would mean Microsoft cancelling several games. Or at least transferring them to studios in other countries, which would be hugely disruptive.
Worldwide, except the EEA because their regulator already approved the previous deal as it was.
The UK’s CMA will almost certainly approve it. This directly addresses the reason they denied the merger before, and I think it would be hard for them to argue it doesn’t. If they come up with some other reason to block the merger then they’d be backtracking on their previous ruling.
But the original MGS2 ran at 60 fps. So they must have made the changes to the original code to get it to run at a different frame rate, but they did so in order to use a lower frame rate.
Apparently people have been able to get it to run at 60 fps via emulation on PC without many issues, so the game logic doesn’t seem to be fundamentally tied to the frame rate.
Take the time, fuck the deadlines, balance (as best you can, as developers) your work and life schedules - we (gamers) will still be here when you feel your game is completed and up to snuff. We will pay the money and applaud your efforts.
I’m out of the loop. Why is she terrible?
I’m sure there will be closer integration between the single and multiplayer. But hopefully there will still be an option to play the whole story alone.
I think in general it’s better to buy digital if backwards compatibility with future consoles is important to you.
When a developer has a baby during the game’s production they call it a development baby.
Crafting systems are overdone in general. It seems like most games have them these days, and most games don’t need them. They’re not even a staple in FF. I think VIII was the first to have some sort of crafting system, and it wasn’t a particularly big part of the game unless you wanted to make yourself massively…
The closest I can think of is Death Stranding, but the protagonist is a man.
I think it’s best to play the original first. For all we know Rebirth might abandon any pretense of it actually being a remake and embrace that it’s really a sequel. So you need the original to get the whole story.
So... this isn’t even going to get through the end of the original game’s Disc 1?
