I believe the idea is that the child should have a similar lifestyle with each parent. So you don’t have a millionaire parent who spoils the kid and a struggling, working-three-jobs parent who barely gets by.

When somebody is essentially saying “oh, every relationship is a *little* toxic/abusive” I know that person speaking is toxic and an abuser. I have never once felt threatened by my significant other. It’s not normal.
