I miss the days when being an accused child molester got one kicked out of public society.

I had a slightly different but equally depressing take on why the allegations against Spacey were taken seriously right away: they were made by a man, and men can be trusted (unlike those lying, gold-digging WHORES)
Whenever someone gets dropped as fast as Spacey did - it’s because everyone already knew and the perp is an asshole no one enjoyed working with anyway. It’s the same reason Lauer was dropped like a hot sack of shit.
Spent a good part of the morning “discussing” this with a guy who wasn’t clear on what the problem was. Glad to know I wasn’t the only one angry about being classed with booze and movies.
Right? God forbid you take a Saturday off from your 80 hour work week to take your family to one of the few (semi) affordable entertainments that still exist!
We usually go find them after we pick up our protesting checks from George Soros.
The kicker is that spending money on those things ACTUALLY helps the economy. As opposed to it going to sit in some off-shore bank account.
Wait, there are women who AREN’T hookers??
“I think not having the estate tax recognizes the people that are investing,” Grassley told the Register, “as opposed to those that are just spending every darn penny they have, whether it’s on booze or women or movies.”
Maybe love isn’t about what college you attended or where you worked.
Steinbeck once said something to the effect of, “Republicans can stay in power because the American poor votes like they are temporarily embarrassed millionaires.
This is where we are. He knows he can just say the shittiest things possible about his voting base, right to their faces. Basically just call them trash and because he’s got the consonant they are looking for after his name, then they’ll take it and like it. We’ve now seen that child molesters are now more than…
This is absolutely true, and it probably encompasses more people than even you assumed.

Hopefully they won’t have the money anymore to rent out the local Grange Hall for dancin’ and the like.
Well to be fair, rich people don’t spend ALL their money on those things, because even after buying all those things in ridiculous quantities, they still have absurd amounts left.
Those goddamn evil, awful... moviegoers... ruining this once-great country. I long for the halcyon days before awful vices like... film.
I’d like to add that drinking, drugs, lechery, and even mild entertainment (seriously, “going to the movies” is now the mark of a terrible person?! Dafuq?!) are only bad when poor people do it, apparently.
It is absolutely unconscionable to me that republican voters keep voting republican, when the people you are electing will never EVER stop showing you how pathetic they think you are.
If an actual lawyer had drafted that tweet, he would have written “pleaded” not “pled”. No way John Dowd wrote that.
