Specifically, Plattsburgh, where city officials gave tax breaks to entice bitcoin miners to move there. Subsequently, electric bills went up for everyone else in the city, approx $16 per person per month.

Rob Paulsen and Tara Strong also on the NFT grift. What is it with VO actors and get rich quick schemes?
Running Man has Richard Dawson. No Johnson movie has Richard Dawson. Thus Running Man is better than Johnson’s entire oeuvre.
Lukewarm takes - Johnson’s best movie was either The Rundown or Be Cool, and Cena’s best movie is Blockers by a country mile.
I think the Wake Up cover choice was inspired for two reasons, one on purpose, one inadvertant - it was meant to indicate that the movie is sort of a recapitulation/recursion of the first movie, the same but different, and ALSO the band that did the cover, Brass Against, is the one that was on video last month…
Let’s not forget that the Irish character (at least in the movies) blows something up at least once per movie.
The Hunter gets Captured by the Game is one of my absolute faves.
Yeah, playing games based on metacritic score led me to The House in Fata Morgana, and there was no bigger waste of my time this year. They are taking any internet review as a legitimate review.
It’s The Lizard, not Reptile, though the latter would have been pretty amusing.
I can’t believe he’s had the rights to Lexicon locked up for like 8 years now and his choice of next project is “Kingsman Sequel” or “Kick-Ass Sequel,” flip a coin.
This is correct. Yoda was at the height of his Yodaness in the High Republic, a couple hundred years before the movies.
I think the High Republic is like a couple hundred years before the prequel era. Not old enough that Yoda’s not there (that’s definitely Yoda), but at least two or three hundred years.
I’m guessing multiple reasons - LotR, Wheel of Time, loss of a major character (Alex), that the Laconia based future seasons would have cost too much in effects, and that it’s possible the non-book reading audience probably just wants to see the story wrapped up. I know that for my parents, they sort of lost interest…

If you’re a politician, spy, or anyone dealing with classified information, using a smartphone would be the opposite of smart.
To be fair, she learned from the best person at the best place - Allison Janey and Ellen Barkin in Drop Dead Gorgeous were two of the most accurate drunks ever committed to film.
I truly couldn’t watch the last half of the last season of Broad City because it became such a weird, angry, sad break with the entire show up until then. You’re the Worst did something similar, but there was pathos running through that whole show that just wasn’t there in Broad City until the end.
A live action Ranma (the way they did Cowboy Bebop) would simultaneously be both the most hilarious and most problematic show you could make.
Alistair Reynolds’ Revelation Space series might be the best choice, as it would be cheaper to get the rights, easier to film (fewer alien species), and the story is very, VERY similar to Mass Effect.
