Well, multiple personalities isn’t actually a real mental health disorder, so no, it’s not taking mental health seriously. But it’s entertaining TV mental health.

It was an adaptation of the novella Strange Dogs, which bridges books 6 and 7, and basically kicks off the last major arc of the books. Cara and Xan play a fairly central role in books 8 and 9, and have major repercussions for one of the main characters.
“Also I would have preferred an extra 10 seconds or so for Naomi to somehow learn of Philip’s survival rather than living indefinitely with the anguish of having killed her own child.”
The authors have said (and why would they lie) that the last novella will take place on a system outside the Sol system. It’s possible that Filip has traveled there, but I think it would be an odd thing to focus on. I’m a bit sad that there was never a Naomi/Filip reunion, but I think it was supposed to be closure…
You can literally see a Laconian ship approaching the gate in the last few seconds of the credits.
Specifically, Plattsburgh, where city officials gave tax breaks to entice bitcoin miners to move there. Subsequently, electric bills went up for everyone else in the city, approx $16 per person per month.
Rob Paulsen and Tara Strong also on the NFT grift. What is it with VO actors and get rich quick schemes?
Running Man has Richard Dawson. No Johnson movie has Richard Dawson. Thus Running Man is better than Johnson’s entire oeuvre.
Lukewarm takes - Johnson’s best movie was either The Rundown or Be Cool, and Cena’s best movie is Blockers by a country mile.
I’d argue the Outback run of the X-Men was the best run, seconded only by the run with Paul Smith as artist, pre-Dark Phoenix Saga.
After Happy Death Day and the sequel, I’ll watch Jessica Rothe in anything.
I think the Wake Up cover choice was inspired for two reasons, one on purpose, one inadvertant - it was meant to indicate that the movie is sort of a recapitulation/recursion of the first movie, the same but different, and ALSO the band that did the cover, Brass Against, is the one that was on video last month…
Can I just say that, having watched it this weekend, I....really really liked it. It wasn’t so much a martial arts movie as a creative director’s exploration of their own work, and I love that they foisted that on the public as “a Matrix sequel.” It sort of reminded me of how they explored the Nightmare on Elm Street…
Let’s not forget that the Irish character (at least in the movies) blows something up at least once per movie.
I think you might have the reality of the Winchester house a bit confused.
Bill Gates is the largest private owner of farmland in the United States. It’s a hedge against climate change, and a permanent source of income.
The Hunter gets Captured by the Game is one of my absolute faves.
Yeah, playing games based on metacritic score led me to The House in Fata Morgana, and there was no bigger waste of my time this year. They are taking any internet review as a legitimate review.
It’s The Lizard, not Reptile, though the latter would have been pretty amusing.
Pretty sure it’s a reference to Spider-Man 2, where his powers are coming in and out, and he’s swinging and yelling “I’m back!” and then powers cut off, he falls, hits a garbage dumpster, and says “My back!”
