To be fair, she learned from the best person at the best place - Allison Janey and Ellen Barkin in Drop Dead Gorgeous were two of the most accurate drunks ever committed to film.
I truly couldn’t watch the last half of the last season of Broad City because it became such a weird, angry, sad break with the entire show up until then. You’re the Worst did something similar, but there was pathos running through that whole show that just wasn’t there in Broad City until the end.
A live action Ranma (the way they did Cowboy Bebop) would simultaneously be both the most hilarious and most problematic show you could make.
Alistair Reynolds’ Revelation Space series might be the best choice, as it would be cheaper to get the rights, easier to film (fewer alien species), and the story is very, VERY similar to Mass Effect.
I think it’s hilarious that Kid Rock, born firmly in the middle of Gen X, thinks:
Well, since he became CEO in 2008, their stock price has gone up 750%, which is exactly what they saw in him, and continue to. However, it hit its peak in Jan at $91, and is now down to $60 something, a loss of 25% from the peak. So the question is, do they toss him now and rescue what is, in all, a 500% increase, or…
How is the board not going to just give Kotick his golden parachute already? There’s nothing he’s doing that could be worth what’s going to happen to their stock price if he stays on.
Thank you. I have yet to click on a slideshow, and I’m not about to start now.
Kelly Reilly pops up in lots of different things (e.g., the only good part of True Detective S2)
Frightening deep cut.
That bon mot machine was called Man from UNCLE, and it’s too bad Guy Richie never made a movie after that.
While I appreciate their doing that (and restoring Quill’s actual parentage), I would have loved if they had gone with the comic book Starlord background, as it’s pretty fucked up, and results in a nicely fucked up face for quite a while in the comics (until they prettied him up after the first movie)
Yeah, even in the Rundown he had fantastic comic timing as a straight man. He was great in his early SNL appearances. It’s very sad to see what doubling down on cheap action movies and steroids do to one’s acting aspirations.
Didn’t he also say some pretty awful and sexist things about Taylor Swift
This is exactly my feeling. I’ve had mine for almost 200k miles, it costs $20 a week to fill up after 350 miles of commuting, and it has virtually never needed service other than oil changes and brake pads. I’m considering the Rav4 Hybrid because of snow storms, but the Prius is still very much an option.
If you are familiar with any of her solo work, you’d find her an extremely discordant yet interesting choice for SNL. I myself wonder why she’d chosen to do it, but I mean, can’t be easy making a living doing body horror comedy.
It certainly sounds like she wants out but doesn’t Michaels keep them on a 7 year contract? Maybe this is some form of weird “still getting paid six figures to not do much” punishment.
It seems certainly possible that this guy is an asshole and a creep, and that also it was a bad idea for Bridgers to reinforce the notion (possibly unknowingly) that he murdered someone if that didn’t actually happen. The depositions should be interesting.
