Fieri has a specific reason for being apolitical (not putting his millions of dollars which allow him to be “above politics” in jeopardy). For people who are living on a working wage in this country, there isn’t the “freedom” to be apolitical.

That’s funny, because given the “Thin Blue AND Red Line” flags I’ve seen on firetrucks, and the vocal racism and blue lives matter stuff I hear from every firefighter I meet, THEY seem to be unable to appreciate their job without bringing the cops into it.

Which is too bad, because having people with experience would make so many games so much better.

The reason why it’s so funny is that it’s not at all what would happen with a 40 hour work week. Most hospital staff (like mine) are unionized - do you think that when the clock hits 4, an ER nurse will just stop giving CPR and clock out?

Why did they have a 70% turnover rate, then?

It’s “not *without* a cost.”

It’s the lowest reviewed album they have on Metacritic. They obviously didn’t like it as much in hindsight because they ditched the outside producers. On that tour, only a third of the songs they played were from the album (that they were ostensibly touring behind).

They definitely made a big mistake on the last album - it barely sounds like them, and it’s telling that the best song on the album is the one Martin sings on. They, or their producers, clearly wanted Lauren doing something that she wasn’t really meant to do (top 40 pop). They sell out every show they’ve done in NYC

It was a famous incident. Al got the approval from Coolio’s management and assumed that that meant Coolio himself was aware of it. Coolio was VERY angry. I believe they have long since patched it up.

A frivolous view of vaccines is a bad look for someone with a PhD who promotes herself as a scientific expert.

Gamers had nothing to do with it - the release date was based on their fiscal year, their outlook, and shareholder expectations.

All around fantastic character actor, the kind of guy you see in something and go “OK, this is going to be better than expected.”

I just got a Gigabyte Aero with a 3070 two months ago, and it’s an absolute delight. Gorgeous screen, and no issues whatsoever other than some fiddly stuff (turn off their “AI”). So don’t necessarily be dissuaded.

When I had a desktop, that was absolutely the case. It’s like the headphone jack or the USB port on a phone - reliably fails after 2-3 years.

Oh, bother

They can fire him; that is, the board can. But if they’re still meeting their investor targets, there isn’t much incentive to, and there’s a risk that firing the CEO could tank the share price.

As the podcast You’re Wrong About has taught me, it is EXTREMELY hard to nab a CEO for malfeasance. You can’t just show that they knew about the problem. You have to show their frame of mind in how they chose to address it. And shareholders don’t care who the CEO is as long as the stock is doing well. This is why Ken

Yeah, I’m deeply skeptical. How can you alter a perfect ending? I’m hoping this is just an added mystery in the middle of the game.

One of the main harassers in the Ubisoft story was just moved to another Ubisoft location, and no one noticed for years.

Jason Schreier’s next book is writing itself, it looks like.
