What I did was follow Matt Swider on Twitter, and then turn on alerts for all of his tweets. I kept tabs open on the computer for the major sites, and then whenever I heard the specific alert sound for Twitter, I refreshed all of them without checking what the tweet was. It took about two weeks.

I actually think the X-Factor Investigations run in the aughts was his best (spoiler - I have a Madrox tattoo), but let’s not forget the best thing he ever did, after bad plotting and art left Rick Jones inside a Skrull ship during the Hulk run:

I’ll have to check out your other recs, because I loved the Weather Station album, and even though it’s only been out a week, I think the Lonelady album is my fave of the year thus far.

The closeted gay joke comes to you from the two Mormon writers of Despicable Me and The Secret Life of Pets. I suppose one could easily ask “what did you expect?”

This is so strange to me - I got my PS5 two weeks ago, connected it to my router via ethernet, turned on the PS5 and PS4, it asked me if I wanted to move my saves and games over to PS5; I had to select certain games (because I had put a 2 TB HDD into my PS4, so not everything would fit), it took about a half hour to

Tyrese, Ludacris, and Nathalie Emmanuel have basically become a Greek Chorus at this point, and multiple times in the movie they point out the incongruousness of the things they are doing and their ability to survive through them. They’ve been doing this for a few movies, but in this movie it comes so close to

The two best scenes in the movie are two Oscar winning actresses monologuing at two sides of beef - Theron at Cena, and Mirren at Diesel. The Oscar winning actresses know what kind of movie they’re in. The action stars seem not to.

Yeah, his earlier film roles were far more interesting (I maintain that The Rundown is the best Rock movie, but the best Rock performances were....get ready....Be Cool and Southland Tales). When he was smaller and more vulnerable and more willing to play with genres, he’s so much better. Now he’s just a slab of meat

Yeah, Marvel’s personal trainers are positively anabolic.

Well, yes, and it’s certainly understandable, and I’m totally willing to wait because I LOVED the story and the animation looks great, but....this is indeed the third time it was pushed back, and the first time was not due to the pandemic. It was supposed to be in early 2020, and then late 2021, and now late 2022.

I am way more happy about this than I would have been with another first person Prime. Hot take, I’m sure.

Why, entropic, of course!

Just leave. You will miss literally nothing. I can’t even think of a time since I left facebook that I thought “having a fb would be useful right now”

Huh. Maybe it’s because we’re extremely similar, but Alex Navarro is by far my fave duder. Kinda wish Rykert had joined them because I love their chemistry, but Rykert’s new podcast is great too.

Ditto

From their introductory podcast, it sounds like Jeff and Red Ventures wanted to really branch out (and potentially become less....all white men), and Vinnie, Alex, etc didn’t really want to have to do whatever the corporate paymasters wanted at any given time.

The wayback machine has quite a few logged versions of the AVclub, but you kinda have to know what you’re looking for: https://web.archive.org/web/20060614220620/http://www.avclub.com/content/home

Well, AVClub started in the 90s as a non-joke subsection of the Onion, which was an independent site, like IO9 and Deadspin. AVClub used to have a much larger, more consistent staff and much larger range of content (people like Keith Phipps, Scott Tobias, Tasha Robinson, Genevieve Koski, Nathan Rabin, Amelie Gillette,

TRUUUUU

This, exactly.
