I think they told some people about the joke and not others. See Lance Reddick vs. Lauren Conrad. The Lance Reddick bit is one of the best things I’ve ever seen on TV.
If your friends are getting married in vineyards in Spain and Portugal, I’d argue that your friend group is probably not the representative sample.
Most of my friends have gotten married in their 30s, and nearly all of them have done it on the mega cheap, usually having the ceremony in a public park, and then renting out a restaurant for dinner. It’s the people who get married in their 20s that use all of their friends and parents’ money up. Maybe it’s because…
Isn’t there a long history of Malcolm Gladwell being somewhat of a creep within the literati circles of NYC?
I went to Dorney Park this year for the first time! Actually not a bad place!
They had the Tarzan Swing open right up until about 3 years ago, when they re-opened as a “safe park.” I went with 2 friends, and 2 of us got bloody noses from the Tarzan Swing alone. It was gone the next year.
100% true. The advertisements were all over local tristate TV between like 85-95 (like WPIX). I went in the early 90s, after the more ridiculous rides were gone.
I think those were two different rides? The one with the handbrake is still there, but it runs on rails now. The concrete slide is, obviously, long gone.
I believe they said that annihilation was a direct influence, tho the movie, not the book, which seems odd, because the books (especially the second) are mainly about the bureaucracy of the weird.
I like both of the responses to my comment. I definitely wouldn’t say it’s abnormal in any way to enjoy that kinda programming (I mean, I don’t, but it’s like coming home from working in advertising and watching mad men or something, I don’t know). I am just interested in people’s reasons, and also why it’s so popular…
As a professional who works in this field, it blows my mind that true crime/serial tv shows about sexual assault have become so popular recently (SVU certainly helped kick off the trend). I’d love to read an article about people who love it and why. I think there’s a deep well of interesting stuff to learn there.
He’s written one or two more since then.
I’m going with the eels as underrated band of the 90s. Electro Shock Blues was 98.
Where does Metric rank in the Canadian band debate?
Their reunion tour a few years ago was fantastic.
The lead singer of Semisonic is probably pretty happy right now that there is no more semisonic.
You can definitely toggle it on the PS4 version.
Oh man, I put three month breaks in between the main game and hearts of stone, and between that and blood and wine. I just did not want it to end.
I was obsessed with AG when I was a kid. You could never do anything that 80s today. The only thing that comes close as far as sheer stupid joy is Wipe Out.
