You gotta give props to King for selling the rights to adaptations for his work for a buck to independent filmmakers, and the fact that he just happily enjoys whatever the fuck comes out of it, with the exception of the Shining and Lawnmower Man.

The Stand miniseries was....NOT BAD AT ALL, especially considering network constraints at the time, and the fact that it’s (near inarguably) King’s magnum opus.
