I love seeing ultra young Taylor Hawkins in that video. Who knew?

I had the hugest crush on Alanis when I was in high school, but I mean - Tori Amos. Where’s the love for Tori Amos in these comments? Jagged Little Pill was a year after Under the Pink.

Wow, what a really great and eloquent description. Fantastic writing.

I worked in a facility for individuals with traumatic brain injury for a number of years, with probably hundreds of people in various states of disorders of consciousness. I had someone in a vegetative coma state come out of the coma over a period

Hey, where does Linda McMahon work currently?

In the comics, Xavier pretty much bends almost every moral code in the name of his “dream.” Just off the top of my head:
1) Frequently alters the thoughts/intentions of those who don’t agree with him.
2) Faked his death (twice!) in the silver age, telling none of his students except Jean and basically forcing a teenage

The only thing stopping this literally proven-to-work solution is the number of senators bought by payday lending companies.

I actually think it was one of the better translations of Xavier from the comic to the screen. If you only know Prof X from cartoons and movies, I can understand that, but comic book Prof X....he’s not a good guy. He’s basically Magneto. That’s the whole point.

The fact that she REALLY GOES FOR IT is just the cherry on top of the cherry on top.

Just reading his arc in Annihilation shows you how much more awesome they could have done with Ronan.

Not only that, but in the second Ant-Man the villain wasn’t really a villain, didn’t get killed in the end, and may actually resurface as a hero. AND it’s Hannah John-Kamen, who should be in every movie once she’s done with Killjoys, one of the most unsung shows on TV.

I do wish they didn’t feel like they had to use Immigrant Song twice in one movie.

Yeah, she was responsible for the plot, which really makes the movie, and Gunn basically said that he rewrote everything she did. Really not cool on his part (even moreso than the dumb shit that actually got him temporarily fired), and I think GotG 2 really suffered from him not having a plot to base his quips on.

She strikes me as a savvy, smart twentysomething who makes the same mistakes that everyone makes in their twenties, but because of how popular her twitter account has become, it has simultaneously made her have to become more responsible and more full of herself.

For what it’s worth, I dated someone for a short time

It’s been proposed a number of times. Most recently by Gillibrand, I believe.

Police unions are the exception that proves the rule.

If only, say, like many other governments, the US decided to make the USPS a no-cost savings bank on top of the mail service, that would.....make the USPS solvent....AND solve the problem of predatory lending? Huh.

Ah, ok, so the Blackfish is on the right, cut out in the photo up top.

Except, I think by many accounts, Yolandi is a fairly private individual and doting mother.

I think that cover is depicting Catelyn, Edmure Tully, and the Blackfish, though I don’t think the latter matches his book description at all.

Was that Ashly Burch - Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn in the Red Lantern game?
