Not only the danger of plastic fumes and scratched teflon, but you cannot get a good sear on it. It will come out softer on the surface. A good seasoned cast iron pan is as cheap, will never scratch, and can be used for virtually anything except strongly acidic foods. I only use teflon for eggs, with a spatula.

I know at this point, even though they’re becoming more popular, sous vide comments are still considered “douchy,” but man, you literally cannot fuck up a sous vide steak. Literally the most perfectly medium rare I’ve ever gotten outside a steakhouse, time and time again.

I also loved Year Zero, which has become frighteningly prescient in the current climate. But who can blame him for going out on tour every other year? It’s an easy paycheck, and having seen them a few weeks ago, they still put on a fantastic show, even with minimal stage design.

Phantasmagoria was a great early CD-ROM game. I’m positive it doesn’t hold up well, but as an adult looking back, the death scenes were hi-larious.
