Book reader here, with no spoilers. It’s both more simple and more complex than that (assuming they stick to book reasons), but that’s an excellent hypothesis, and the books haven’t really fully explained it as of yet.

This is an incredible shock, and I’m really curious about the situation. No doubt if you read his books you’d get the streak of depression, loneliness....but he seemed very active and happy recently, with Asia and his daughter, etc. I wonder if there was something like deteriorating health contributing to it...
