I can’t really argue with “do what you want if it makes you happy”. It kinda makes any argument against the lottery, i.e. “shameless state-sponsored games promoted directly to children and the poor to make up massive budget deficits” kinda irrelevant, right? So hey, do want you want, don’t think about what it is you

There is no value, or hope, in the lottery. You can hope all you like for a lot of different things that have a near zero mathematical chance of happening, and you can do that for free. Hope that the Redskins will win the Superbowl? Free. When you start PAYING for hope, it becomes an investment, and the big lotteries

I drink a microwaved Natty Ice every morning and call it the same thing.  Cheers!

Interesting question. On one hand, you have two great players and an interesting, raw rookie. The other hand is a dumpster fire, with no talent anywhere else on the roster, and no real means of getting any once you max out Durant and Kyrie. They would get into the playoffs, obviously, but it might be tough getting out

Depends. Take the Hornets or Pistons, for example. Would you rather have been them for the past 5 years or the Sixers? Sure, both of those teams were more competitive for the first 3 years, and were generally watchable with an occasional dips into the playoffs. Where do these teams stand right now? The same exact

A picture of a red giant star with the music "black hole sun" blaring.  That may be the final pic.  In 2025.

I thought the last one was it.  Kudos, deadspin.

Yes, I'm sure the think tank at MLS is making all these decisions based on the schedule

Nah

Yep.  Call any professional athlete “average” in any way and see how they react.

Right.  Thanos is basically God now, so there would be no getting the gauntlet off him, Captain Marvel or not.  The only way to fix it is to go back.

I mean, I understand the concern.  But damn man, you could at least mention Butler and Harris if you are going to compare the two seasons.  They are pretty good!  And as plucky as the Nets have been, the Sixers still have more talent than they do even without Embiid, regardless of how everyone now loves Spencer

I guess this is a bad time to mention that Boston has thier embarrassment of riches because they traded thier two best players to the Nets in an effort to not win. And the nets were able to take that horrible contract and get Russel because they had plenty of cap space, i.e. they didn’t bother to sign mid level free

Wow, someone took “Policing” a little more literal than I had hoped

That’s kinda the point of all this. The umps (and teams and players) don’t have an penalty they can give for taunting. He can look at it, dance to it, do somersaults down the first base line, and then what?  Nothing.  What can they do?  Take away the HR?  The only thing that can be done to police this is throw behind

He certainly picked the right state to run, where a hot sack of shit covered in vomit could win the election if it had MAGA written on the side of it.

Davis already has deferred money.  Starting in 2023 he gets 3 million a year for 14 years.  In 2035 our children will know what “Chris Davis Day” is and celebrate it while our robot overlords are busy charging.

If he’s done, he’s done. Release him and eat the contract. Maybe another team signs him to some deal that could offset a million or so. That’s probably the best case scenario.

I know nothing about app development, but is it wise to spend 70 million dollars for one? It feels like that is a lot more than it should take to develop one.

I find this extremely short sighted by the wizard's owner.  I mean, shit, who's going to give Tomas Satoransky a max deal now?  Is a Colangelo available?  Please, God, hire Bryan colangelo.
