I believe some “stablecoin” currencies are tied to “fiat” currencies: Ex. USDC tries to reflect the same value as the US dollar.

Fees, limited currency selection, and no option to transfer to an external or physical wallet. I like seeing more of the big names getting into crypto, but not like this.

My SO and I have debated this. We’ve rented one side of the same duplex for nearly seven years now and know the ins & outs, maintenance history, and pros/cons of both sides of the property pretty well. We’ve debated offering to buy both sides: live in one for a while and continue to rent out the other.

So post-apocalyptic motorcycle gangs on old school Kawasaki bikes raiding & terrorizing the neighborhood isn’t appreciated? Dang.

Samin Nosrat’s “Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat” book has a chapter on salt that is decently descriptive of the types of salt, when to use which kind (based on preference), etc.

I’ve seen a few instances of SIM “hacking”, swapping, and other methods of unauthorized access within the crypto circle. But there’s no telling how secure or smart some of those individuals were.

I don’t disagree. But that’s also the point of this thread. So your reaction is kind of a moot point.

Not for entities that won’t accept card payments.

Personal check = proof of payment via paper trail.

Oh, I like this. Eating the chocolates & setting up an adorable charcuterie platter.

I toiled for hours with trying to clone my HDD to SSD after upgrading this last summer. Swapping out the drive in my laptop was an easy 5 minute job. Trying to clone it with Samsung’s software, Acronis, EaseUS Todo, Aomei, etc? Not so much - I got error after error for various reasons. Learned a lot of otherwise

Sometimes I think my dog is rather intelligent: she communicates well with me, has figured out the Nina Ottossen puzzles (levels 1-3) in her three weeks of recovery from surgery so far, and responds well to commands new & old. She also has a bit of attitude at times.

Dang. My CK “FAKO” score has almost always been pessimistically low compared to my actual FICO scores: typically by 30+ points. I can’t say why, as everything looks clean on the three CRAs.

So here’s a dumb question:

Healthy Paws. I started the policy over four years ago when my dog was just under two years old.

Don’t forget time & cost for training. So many people buy a dog and think teaching it basic commands (sit, lay, stay) is enough. It’s not.

+1 for CardCash. I’ve used them for the past few years without issue.

Every time I pay a vet bill this comes to mind. It would be nice to be able to use FSA/HSA funds for my dog’s semi-annual exams, preventatives, or even just the part of her ACL surgery that insurance doesn’t cover. But for now I’ll continue to anticipate the costs and save up for them.

Don’t support Yelp.

As I keep telling my family, it’s a great time to start new traditions.
