I wouldn’t call $118/mo PMI exceptionally low unless you bought a high value home.
Can we stop this trend of putting microwaves less than 2 feet above the stove top?
Disney+ seems to be hitting those rate increases every 6 months or so. Disappointing.
I’ve used a Kavu Snack Sack for the past 4+ years and it’s been great. Lightly insulated & fits my lunch, a 32oz drink bottle, my Kindle, and a few small items. It also doubles as a small cooler for travel.
If your insurance & taxes are escrow-billed, please notify your insurance company. Mortgage servicers don’t always do that and it can create a headache with late pays or cancellations when your policy renews.
One thing to point out with rental car insurance is that different class vehicles - moving trucks (uHaul, etc), RVs, and pretty much anything that is not a standard passenger vehicle - is probably not going to be covered by your normal auto insurance. So don’t rely on your insurance for that.
After two TPLO surgeries, one plate removal, and a handful of visits for normal dog issues (pulled toe nails, hot spots, etc) I’m still ahead of my dog’s insurance premiums over the past 7 years.
I drove one a handful of times for a relative. Can confirm it was the cheapest & tackiest interior I can think of.
Insurance companies & agents should be able to determine which firestation you subscribe to either via county public property records or distance. Since you’re in a geographically small town likely with a municipal fire dept, it probably defaults to that.
A few years ago Safeco & Liberty Mutual gave a discount for water leak detection & auto shut-off devices. But I don’t know if that’s true anymore.
Vote to increase funding to your local fire departments. Distance to fire departments (typically 4 miles or less) and their ISO rating (1-10) also affect your property insurance premium.
I’m in a southern state and can confirm. The 60% approval vote was narrowly avoided last year. But they’re just going to try again & keep forcing terrible legislation through in the meantime.
I bought a pair of Hearos for $20 a few years ago and they have been great at concerts, the range, etc. Much more comfortable than the foam ear plugs.
That ding is typically temporary before scores go back up. If the interest is high, I would still prefer to pay loans off early over & taking a small hit to my credit score.
Also, wouldn’t this mean that the average insurance rate should be essentially set to cover the entire cost of a *single* accident amortized over the entire insurance paying lifetime?
If the recipient is local and you know their interests: go for a gift card from a local business they frequent. Or one they’ve talked about in previous conversations.
Why not get dryer balls instead? Same reusable concept & fewer hazards.
Friendly reminder not to throw the old & dead string lights in the trash.
This is the case in my area. There is still a shortage in housing - although not as much as there was in the peak. And while the demand has cooled somewhat due to increased interest rates, the push to move to my area is still in high gear.
