I did something similar last month: I had previously picked up a cheap Dell 2-in-1 laptop on sale that was in desperate need of some help. I ordered a $40 8gb RAM stick, 500gb Samsung Evo SSD, and external drive enclosure. After cloning the original drive and swapping in the new new, it is much more useful/enjoyable.

I also abandoned my game for about two months and oddly now look forward to returning. I already knew about the updates - those are cool but haven’t brought me back. But the messy chores! I can do that.

We looked into COBRA when my husband had a break in coverage between leaving one job and getting health coverage through his new job. We live in a state that apparently has minimal/limited COBRA coverage.

Looks like my nearly-finished school paper drafts I where I would save & highlight (typically via symbols & characters) sections for myself to later fill in and finish.

My personal favorite was that early homemade image people were touting around as a digital “card” that spelled it as “HIPPA”. How to spot the idiot anti-masker.

So I know this is an upcycled article, but thank you for sharing it. I picked a Samsung SSD a few weeks ago and have tried numerous programs to try to clone my original HDD to it, all unsuccessful. I also did numerous scans, checks, etc, for corrupt files, bad sectors, and more to rule out issues.

“What I’ve since realized is that once you start buying outdoor shit, you will constantly feel the need to buy more outdoor shit, and pretty soon, one room in your entire apartment has somehow become a very expensive shrine to REI.”

My exact sentiment.

Any recommendations for cleaning inside sensitive kitchen appliances: toaster ovens, air fryers, etc? I have a Ninja Foodi oven and the inside is caked in baked-on oil after less than a year of regular use. The instructions recommend a damp/soapy paper towel - but that doesn’t cut it.

Permethrin for clothes/gear. You can find spray-on or wash-in versions. It’s generally safe for most materials, shouldn’t make them smell, and repels those annoying & dangerous pests. Definitely a must-have for outdoors & hiking attire.

A few notes:

I work in insurance and it is amazing the number of people that don’t understand the simplest cyber security functions. I always point out to customers to never send sensitive information via email (SSN, DL#, DOB) unless it’s encrypted or via secure messaging. Yet every so often someone will shoot off an email with

Obvious one here, but check their reviews & ratings on Google & social media. Two of the last three vehicles I’ve purchased have been out of state and from car dealers. The last one involved flying to the east coast, picking up the car, and narrowly escaping Hurricane Florence. :)

I could get parts for a 10 year old Saab more easily than my clients’ brand new GM car/SUV/trucks a few months ago. ;)

Not even holiday pay can be guaranteed in hourly retail positions. Holidays like Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc, are frequently big sale days without additional compensation. At least from my 14 years in retail. /sadface

I would love to use this or spicy seed, but my neighbor has decided to put out feeders for squirrels and birds, right by the fence between us. The squirrels are voracious chewers and have destroyed the wood trim on my screened-in porch and deck railings. They also tear up our Magnolia tree blooms the instant they

Until it causes a stroke, heart attack, or debilitating issue with permanent damage in otherwise perfectly healthy individuals that were asymptomatic.

My state saw its highest number of confirmed cases over a 24 hour period today, with regional hospitals at a 350% increase in coronovirus-related patients, and the governor is still giving the green light to move into Phase 2. He requests people to wear a face mask in public - with a stupid smile plastered on his face

Glad to hear. My state’s governor was dumbfounded (he’s not the brightest) by the spike and is now talking about delaying the transition to Phase 2: a smart move in my mind. The highest concentration of cases seems to be centered around areas occupied by some of the corporate giant headquarters & operating data centers

I live in one of the latest outbreak “hot spots” and our positive test numbers are setting new records each day: this started after the state started opening via “Phase 1" right before Memorial Day.
