@bobbo33: You're assuming I own a smartphone, but I prefer to be smart about money and buy phones that are certain to work, rather than the latest gadgets. I mentioned that I have a Nokia 3500 Classic (see: Platypus Man, below).

@Platypus Man: Phone makers don't seem to want to make an "in between" phone. Everything is either "kitchen sink" with too much or a "bare bones" with few or no functions, and never what people need And even if you do buy a "basic" phone, that doesn't guarantee it will be cheap.

@kyre: The thing I want most isn't available in any phone, as far as I know: the ability to connect an external keyboard.

@alpha1: "Does IE know what a Web Standard is?!"

@versatileninja: Just because Microshaft added Ctrl+S to save files and got rid of the 64KB limit doesn't make notepad a great editor.

I've said many times that I view Firefox as second to Opera, but I would never label Firefox as insecure, crashprone or useless.

Seen it, tried it, left it. Not interested.

@pampkenpai: This "invention" addresses the symptom, not the problem (unless we're talking about poisonous spiders).

@sugardeath: Not necessarily. If some people still lack the knowledge to use FTP, then a few may still have difficulty understanding this, even if told.

"Code Monkey" was how I was introduced.

@Astrophizz: What's also not mentioned is which browser has to be used.

For years I've used two tools that do all of those exact same functions without requiring a "toolbar"; both are a shell extensions you install. You'll have to look for them since the creators' websites have gone:

Putting more on my keyring is the last thing I want to do. The sum total of what I have are my three keys, a screwdriver (about 2"x1" with blades for Phillips and Robertson) and a carbiner for wall hooks or hooking on my bike when I don't have pockets.

@paintbox: It's "only words" when there's no history behind it. Firefox fanboys have a hard time naming one thing theirs it doing first (Infernal Exploder none), but Opera has plenty, among them tabs and integrated torrents. Firefox is still playing catchup and copying ideas, whether you admit it or not.

Opera innovates, everyone else imitates. It has always been first or second in tests for speed, reliability, features, updates, innovations, etc. Going to anything else on my home PC would be a downgrade.

@thegreyspot: You misspelt "FTS", as in "for the spyware".

Cripes, even I can do better camera work than that, and I suck.

Considering that "vida la vida" is outright piracy of a Joe Satriani song, it doesn't surprise that they use it. And the word unscramble thing makes sense in light of the "techniques" used by filesharers.

If you want a real make-your-own out of everyday things and recyclables, try what my old man used to do:
