It will be interesting to find out exactly what kind of game "Pandora's Tower" will be.

Not surprising. If you watch any anime or read any manga, it doesn't take to much to pick up the fact that as far as graphics (of the human body at least) the Japanese have a tendency toward the - I believe the term is - androgynous/generic, where quite often if a character is taken out of context/storyline you can't

Eh. Y'got only 3 options. With there being only 2 REAL handhelds (I don't count the Iphone or Ipad - you can play games on them but at base they are still a phone and computer), you can buy one or the other or both.

@Jackstick: Not so much that they don't care about the competition, it's that the competition is secondary to their primary directive - getting into people's heads and wallets (if you're being frank about it).

I kinda like the new look myself. I got the special Ice Blue color edition, and looking at the prototype in the above pic, except for the difference in hinge design it looks pretty much exactly like the DS Lite I've got right now. Besides, once you mentally add the "thumbstick" to the prototype, there's not all THAT

On my part, it's not the $$$ on either side. I sell my old(er) games to stores like Gamestop or a couple others in my hometown that buy back used games.

Hmmm...I'm wondering which sort of games might get unlockables from those "walking coins", what kind of stuff you might be able to get, and if you might be offered any choice (say from several item options?) in the matter. Think of all those games that have been bandied around: Call of Duty, DragonQuest, Pokemon,

Just curious, but I think they need to have cleared this with either the Transportation Authorities or the powers-that-be in City Hall, don't they?

Maybe it's a secret mode for nudist commune types or people that like doing certain things au natural. I mean, I don't really like cleaning in the first place, (the thought is kinda ick) but I've heard that some people like cleaning their houses without any clothes on (once they've managed to shove everyone else out

Well, they may be touting the 3D function of the new 3DS, but there are supposedly new techie stuff and other new funtions to it. If you're the sort to want the newest thing out there, you can shift the 3D off and just enjoy the "regular" games and the rest of the stuff in the new handheld.

@NegativeGhostrider: I dunno. I'm guessing probably yes. But, whether or not you can play ALL of the new games coming out on the older DS model, THAT is a REAL "I dunno".

It's all image. Think of the image Nintendo wants the General Public to have of them. If they gave people the option to make up their own usernames, can you picture how many names there'd be involving: bad or uncivil language, 4-letter words best left unsaid/unwritten, and unsavory body parts?

Seriously considering between a PSP/PSP-Go or a DS/DSi/3DS? Go online and look up the types of games the two systems have and the kind of gaming audience each caters to. Both have games for all the different gaming genres, but that doesn't mean the money gets thrown around in the same proportions.

Well, if you watch TV much, you still see people being interviewed in electronic stores/depts (about hd television sets and the new 3d ones) and movie theatres [example: Avatar] and getting the occasional person that seems to have a bad reaction to 3D field effects.

Oh, lordy. For YEARS.

Gah! Why the heck do they want to release it in San Jose? Sigh. Two in good ol' Cali and I can't get to either one....

Uuuhhhh,.....I dunno if that's gonna work all that well. I hear tell that the 3DS can go at most ABOUT 5 hours before you need to re-charge it. The thing'll run out of charge before I get home at the end of the day. How's it going to count how many steps I'm taking then? I'm assuming that it'll need to be kept on

Me? On my part, going to ignore all the other fireworks about Gamestop and just say about the games. I've been to and occasionally still go to Best Buy, Target, etc etc. But frankly, between those other stores and Gamestop, I find the game selection a lot bigger there. I don't HAUNT video game stores with every

Hmm. Depending on which part is supposed to hold the phone components (that etched area in the middle of the bottom part or the upper part), then really try to imagine yourself talking into it.

@SadAstronaut: They're small digital info "cards" that come along with the special downloaded pokemon characters you get from the Mystery Gift or Nintendo Wireless function you see in (I think) the 4th screen you come across when you first start up the game. Screen has a list that says "Continue", "New Game", if you
