Um. This IS the first gaming system to even TRY true 3D. Tech develops....at the speed of business(?) and sometimes can change from day to day. Nintendo may use the less expensive/top-of-the-line versions of the stuff but they do have the tendency to use the newest (or nearly newest?) technology out there.

No mention of the other 2 in the blurb. Playstation and X-Box manage to avoid using conflict zone materials or the writer a fan of the systems and didn't want to mention Sony or Microsoft?

That music and song (even though I can't understand a word of it), the sounds are just......

I am definitely NOT one of them, but to be fair, don't knock it. Like they say, "one person's milk shake/sake/Miller Bud/whatever your fave drink is, is another person's glass of Liquid Draino" or the more plebian form "one person's trash is another person's treasure".

The only reason it is gaining on Nintendo is because while it can be considered a portable gaming system, it's not JUST a gaming system. It's a multi-use piece of tech that just about everyone has. (I'm sure there's a few lone wolves out there that don't have or can get along without a cellphone - note I said

@SilverSerenity: Doesn't stop them from seeing them on the shelf/in display cabinets if they just happened to be walking past.

This involves 2 groups of people. One group uses it to create/develop helpful or fun applicatons and stuff. The other group uses it just so they can play games on the console without having to pay for it. It's a well-known fact that there's waaaay more of one than the other. Unfortunately, at this time, there

@dmcshinobi: Ooooh,....Jason Kitty! Ahhhhh! Scary mask! Watch out for that chainsaw!

I think the thing'll probably also have to have some kind of warning/caution/note wording that (in whatever language your system'll eventually be using) you'll have to speak the formal form of it. Even if you have a huge area where everyone speaks the same basic language, it does not put paid to "local" slang usage

My question is from a future vantage. Right now, if you can get your hands on the older machines/consoles, you can still find game cartridges for them even 10-15 years later. If you switch to a pure/completely download system....as an example, say it's year 2037 and you're a video gamer, you hear about this really

Antiques Roadshow is not only about the prices of the objects, but the history and background of the object and its' previous or original creator/owner. How the devil would you play that as a game? If it were just about guessing the price, the you might as well make a "Price is Right" rather than an "Antique

Excerpt:

@Son-of-MonsterChalk: Don't know the exact measurements it'd be, but on one of the news reports I think they said that the area was about the size of 2 Olympic regulation swimming pools.

@AngryChiefsFan: If they could do that, they wouldn't be stuck down there. To be able to get an entire person down to that cave area would vice versa mean that they would've been able to get the guys back up to the surface.

Gads. Now that you mention it, I can recall playing...I think it was Oregon Trail on a 5 inch floppy disk on the Apple IIe we used to have back then.

Oh, my. That was a loooooong time ago. Given a huge dry spell while I was "growing up" and was not into video games any more (I've gotten back into it a bit in the last 2-3 years), I think I can remember a little of what I played when I was a kid.

@Roth: Actually, I think that's one letter, not a couple lines.

There's quite a few things I wish the makers of both the anime and video game would do. I think there's like....2 main items at the top of the list though.

Are the graphics scored onto the DSi handhelds or are they in marker, permanent ink, pencil? I'm thinkin' if I get a hold of something like this and I want to actually play on it, will the stuff come off on my hands or smudge after I've been holding it for a while? Or, is an item like this generally gotten to be the

Wonder if there's a good younger actor that could pass as a Clint Eastwood look-alike out there? I think lookswise (by that I mean facial feature and body structure) and acting, Clint E. could be a really good shoo-in for the part, except for the fact that present day, the guy is simply too old to play Marston.
