Did anyone happen to catch Wall Street's latest list of 10 Brands that will disappear in 2012?

IF they DO put out a 3DS Lite, it's a guarenteed buy (or at least trade in) for me IF it has a (even reasonably) better battery life no matter what else it may or may not have. But, if it's only got internal software/function updates, there'd better be a substantial amount of it for me to get it.

Essentially, every time someone puts any important or valuable info online, no matter who you are or who/what company you're giving it to, you gambling with it. Companies get hacked into all the time. Pentagon anyone? DMV ringing any bells? Think there's been a bank here and there too. Don't recall which one, but

Excerpt:

You are kidding, right?

As much as people seem to like repeating stuff M. Pachter goes on about, anyone have any idea just what percentage of his comments actually turn out to be correct?

Nintendo pretty much goes their own way, mostly refusing to follow the pack and do cookie cutter games. When you take a chance on something, you always run the risk of it being a really truly great idea, having it turn out just "okay", or having it explode or a melt down. Just 'cause they generally don't feel like

Definitely not a 100% thing, but Nintendo generally advertises itself as being "family-friendly", "kid-friendly". Most households aren't really going to buy more than 1. The Wii's been out how long now...? By now, most people that wanted one have one of them. Not beyond possibility that the sell rate would slow

Oh. One more thing. $$$. Wait 'til Sony's comes out and see what the pricing for THAT really comes to. Anyone watch the news recently? People are going to be saving their money just to get around — what with gas prices reportedly going to hit 5 to 6 a gal this summer.

Eh. I'm fine with the 3D aspect, but those AR cards? Interesting. Not quite for me though. Minor-ish fun. Thing is, you have to be bent over holding the 3DS in front of you (STILL in a bent over position), then go around the card shooting at the images that come up at you (meaning you need to make sure you have a

There are/were a couple things.

....and that's why you need to backup any stuff you want to keep on a separate piece of media (i.e. external drive, CD-R, DVD-R, flash drive, etc.). I just lost some files I really wanted to keep (but was to lazy/inconsiderate to backup) and got a corrupted file err msg and the entire Windows system had to be

I wouldn't call it "milked to death". Unlike the ones you mentioned (GH, CoD, Mad), pretty much none of the Mario games are the same. At the most, I'd call it "Mario Overuse", but whaddaya expect? Mario could be considered Nintendo's mascot and like most teams out there with mascots, he's plastered all over

Hey!! Don't knock it! Not EVERYone got to play the thing the first time around. Some of us Pokemon late-comers would love to have a chance to play this. I only started playing the game when Platinum came out. What with the DS lite being able to play GBA carts, I was able to hunt down some of the older games, but

1. Nintendo's NEVER put the newest flashiest tech stuff into their consoles. They've always waited for the newest high powered tech that Sony and MS tend to stick in theirs to go down in price before it goes into their game system. I'm thinkin' the HD graphics tech and chips have gone down enough that it's not (in

I dunno. I think I might go along with some others and say end of this year/early next year. A lot of gaming sites have been rumoring that there'll be SOME kind of playable model at the upcoming E3. If that really is the case, then while Nintendo might not consider it to be completely finished, there can't be all

Technically, hgss was a remake and technically b/w is supposed to be the "real" DSi Pokemon game (look at all the advertising and bundles and nintendo's own website). Just 'cause the B/W and the 3DS were put out about the same time doesn't mean they're actually supposed to go together.

For Nintendo, it might not be such a bad idea. Think about it. X-Box and Playsation have fairly similar games and systems and usually gets the lions share of development time. Nintendo...not so much similarity to them in a lot of ways. Nintendo might be wanting to try something new for their new console.

Hmmmm. Think it has anything to do with the fact that they're phasing out production of the previous DS line model(s)? You know, let people that really like some of the older games be able to play them on the new handheld with the new upped visual quality? Makes me wonder which other of the past games they'll

I dunno. Personally, I think they used waaayyyy too much green. Instead of being a shade of blue with white, the sky and clouds seem to be tinted green. And, that stream? Instead of being a see to the bottom of the creek clear shiny transparency or a light blue, it looks almost a dark seawater green.
