I’m generally frustrated with how this nominating contest went, too, but let’s not go overboard. More women for president this time than ever before. As devastating as Clinton’s loss was four years ago, no American other than Barack Obama has ever received more votes in an election than she did.

They would definitely rather lose with their candidates than lose with Sanders, if that’s what you mean. Because losing with Sanders likely means losing more congressional districts, state legislatures, governorships and senate seats. Meanwhile, they would also rather win with their candidates than win with Sanders,

Yes, they responded to a woman’s allegations of sexism by calling her a snake and a liar. That’s a good look. Really rallies people (especially women) to the One True People’s Champion.

Warren was a “snake” because Warren is a Democrat. We can try to over think it and put it off on other things, but the appeal Sanders has with so many Sanders supporters is the illusion of revolution. It’s an adolescent fascination with the concept of rebellion that says nothing worth winning comes on the other side

That’s true, and shouldn’t be forgotten. If the race had been based on popular vote, she would be president now. But it was still horrible to see her come so close after facing all the horrible misogynistic attacks.

Four years ago, a woman garnered millions more votes in this country.

It’s kind of mind-boggling how Bernie and his people seemed to have thought that he could run practically the exact same campaign as 2016, but win this go around. Especially given that this year, there are fewer caucus states (which inflated the number of delegates he won last time) and his opponent wasn’t a woman

Or the strength of the Not-Bernie sentiment.

She doesn’t have to do anything at this point but waste time and PAC money.

They also think that excusing money people owe for their education screws people who were responsible and went to colleges that were more budget-friendly and chose majors that would lead to decent paying obs.

They seem shocked that Sanders and his supporters treated everyone else like the enemy, and then those “enemies”... acted against them?

^This! It’s extremely generous to believe that a majority of Warren supporters had Sanders as their second pick especially after his supporters went after her. I certainly didn’t. Bernie is doing worse this time around against a weaker establishment candidate.

Pete adds nothing to a Biden ticket. Abrams would ensure increased black turnout in vital key states. Biden is already winning white women. He doesn’t need Pete for that. There’s no way Biden doesn’t select a woman as his running mate.

No it was America that said they don’t want Bernie. Massive voter turn out up from 2016. People are over Bernies shtick. He lost states he won in 16. Biden pretty much said he is only going to serve one term. With Pete as a young super smart VP, Kampala Harris as attorney general, Beto as sect of the interior in

Bernie doesn’t care about black people. Sunday was the 50th anniversary of sunday bloody sunday in selma. Where peaceful prprotestors including John Lewis were viciously attacked for marching for voting rights. This lead to the passage of the voting rights act. All the Democratic candidates where there showing

Except Bernie supporters called her a cunt and a snake.  She got the same policy goals but she dared to disagree with st Bernie and they ruthlessly attacked her.  If he had been a better candidate he could of built a coalition with her, promised her VP.  But Bernie doesn't do coalitions.  They called Warren a cunt

It’s almost like Jez is trying to re-enact 2016 with their “People voted for someone besides Bernie! It has to be foul play!” rhetoric.

Because this needs to be repeated, particularly for the Berners:

I spent last night pouring one out for the Warren campaign, as she’s clearly done. After that, I started rationalizing Joe Biden as the nominee.

“Thanks, in part, to eleventh-hour endorsements from Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar, and Beto O’Rourke....”
