I thought progressives were all about truth and justice? Isn’t that why progressives supported the JASTA bill? If foreign policy deserves that kind of justice, then why doesn’t Israel’s capital deserve honesty?

It’s not really in dispute though. Jerusalem is where the Parliment meets, its where the Capital is listed in the CIA World Fact Book. He wasn’t lying (for once).
“the Obama administration recently chastised the Prime Minister for referring to Palestinian demands for the abandonment of illegal Israeli settlements as “ethnic cleansing.””
The law requires threats or intimidation, and those terms are very narrowly interpreted under First Amendment doctrine. You aren’t “preventing” anyone from using free speech by wearing a mask.
Unless there is more to this than what’s reported here, hard to see how he can be prosecuted under that statute consistent with the First Amendment for this, reprehensible as it is.
It sounds like you are talking about Adam Lanza who was NOT taken into custody, because he killed himeself.
Have you BEEN to Portland? I lived there for 10 years. I saw 5 black people. Asian people aren’t as scarce. But it is mostly white.
i wonder if they have any people of color working at the store
He might have, look at the still frame. Officer on the right has a taser, officer on the left has a pistol. The deceased appears to be holding his vape almost as if he’s drawing it like a weapon at the officer armed with a pistol.
Well if police officers think that a person is enough of a threat then typically one officer will deploy non-lethals while the other officer covers with a service weapon. Sounds like the officer with the pistol panicked and fired when the vic pulled the vape out of his pocket. Given the still frames available it…
And we all know that whatever the cops say happened is always the truth, so...
If this guy wanted to get shot he did a great job.
I blame these fuckers.
In the podcast “You Must Remember This” about Madonna, the narrator discussed Warren Beatty and how someone once said to him something like “Is there a woman you wouldn’t fuck?” and he was like “Nope!” I think that’s sort of cool. I mean, the guy just liked to have sex. If he’s being upfront about it, what’s the…
They are also saying they have been highly critical of Democrats but find her trustworthy and honest. Which is massive given the thing most people don’t like about her is they don’t find her honest.
My dad is highly educated and supports trump. Even he conceded that Hillary won the debate. He of course has to qualify that she had an unfair advantage being a lawyer (or you know, actually preparing). But he fully admits she had the better showing. Anyone who tries to peddle a trump win is a joke.
They basically said “look, historically we reflexively support Republicans regardless of who their opponent is because we are conservatives dammit. But even we see that now is not the time to vote Republican just because you always have.”
Actually, I think this is one of the absolute best ways to reach undecided voters.
But it’s not like anyone sitting on the E-board now was involved in repudiating FDR. And, in their defense, FDR was incredibly fiscally liberal for his time. Eleanor nudged him to be more socially liberal, as well.
This is great and all but I am unsure how you reach the undecided voters. I doubt that a newspaper editorial board is going to sway an undecided voter. In my experience canvassing and volunteering, its a grassroots type approach that will convince an undecided voter to choose a candidate. Even anecdotally, friends and…
