My first reaction as well.

Now playing

This one starts out a wee bit folkey, but it will rock your socks off in a minute.

You must only be familiar with Nothing Compares 2 U, then. She had fantastic 80s “alternative” albums that definitely did rock.

I never realized Putin is so tender.

Right behind you. This Heather is 34 in July. It bogles the mind when I compare it to my parents at age 34 or any number of celebrities or icons at 34. I’m like, a legit adult. Even with a husband, 3 kids and a dog, I don’t feel like I’m a “real” grown up like those mature folks in my oldphotos.

YAY! YO LA TENGO!!!

This has been one movie my dad, mom, sister and I can agree to watch together. Not going to lie, that’s pretty great.

I was so excited to try the Diva Cup, but it was a major disappointment for me that even the XL size did not fit. I am in my early 30s and have 3 kids. As if all of the post-partum body changes weren’t dismaying enough (my poor, once-pert bewbs!), now I have to accept that not only will I likely pee a little every

Heathers and Kuffs era Slater!!! I also fancied him in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. Alan Rickman was pretty smoking there too. #everythingidoidoitforyou

Cannot unsee.

Rashida nailed Mary J. Blige and the Real Love video! Love the anguished back against the brick wall pose and the “we’re all wearing baseball jerseys and knee pads and dancing in a dirty alley” choreography. I need to dig around for my What’s the 411 album.

Whoa. That’s too bad. I think my husband has mostly accepted he will no longer have a shaggy mane (plus that can look kinda silly on some middle age guys), but I can tell he still wonders about what could have been.... I think he’s handsome and virile and all that stuff one way or another, and I make sure to let him

I know that’s the first thing I’d think if my husband ever uttered that. Plus I’d die of second-hand embarrassment on the spot.

Just curious, what do hair plugs run these days? Affordable?

Me neither! I saw Serendipity in the theater with my mom and was so horrified that John Cusack went from High Fidelity to America’s Sweethearts (ugh) and then this. I guess I blocked it all out. Oof. He had a really bad string of movies after High Fidelity - after consulting IMDb, it looks to still continue. :(

I dunno. This guy’s always seemed pretty cheesy to me....

I know its not supposed to funny, but I just had an image of a 3.5foot tall preschooler pinwheeling out of the business end of a lady. As a lady who gave birth to a 10lb baby, I could sort of empathize. :)

Aha! I just read one of your posts below and now I remember - I chose paraguard because it wasn’t hormonal. I had been on the pill for years before I had kids and then, in my non-sciency way of thinking, I decided I didn’t want any more hormonal changes - pregnancy and breastfeeding gave me plenty of hormonal flux.

I’m leaning towards Mirena too. I don’t remember why I opted for paraguard in the first place. hrmph...

This is/was me - had three kids/breast feeding for 4+ years and then I got paraguard right after nursing the last ‘un. Paraguard has been nice for not getting pregnant, and not having to remember pills, but my periods have been way heavier, and longer!, than ever. I’m super-max tampons the whole way through; this lady
