That wienerschitzel deal sounds sweet though.....

There was a skit with Mike Mcshane and Josie Lawrence and I don’t even remember the basic set up but they had to switch styles every 10 seconds or so. Anyway it was in like “sexy film noir” and she was holding him with her hand on his thigh then it switched to “biblical.”

Plenty of others have mentioned reasons why you might want to run America in a pool 2 deck so I won’t rehash that.

Some of the in combat voice lines in 2 were great though.  Like Bowman just yelling "Poison pills!" or "pillory!" when you spammed those attacks.

I remember some frankly crappy game called Tiger Heli that I rented and found out that just mashing a bunch of buttons at random before you hit start would give you 30 lives.

Huh. I had Nintendo power from the first issue and don’t remember ever seeing that. In fairness though I got Zelda on the same Xmas as the NES so I never spent much time on Mario.

I have always liked the CK and HoI series, even if some installments were kind of wonky. Stellaris has its charms, especially with Star Trek or 40k mods. I can’t say why I could never really get into the EU games exactly. Even Imperator is interesting although I didnt care for it. But the Victoria games would very

Sorry to respond to something 4 months old, but I worked for Volition in the mid to late 2000s, and the crunch was grueling, no doubt about it. However, I could see something, tell my lead that it seemed like a pretty big fucking issue, and if he agreed he’d tell me to email or just go knock on the door of the

Turn 1 snapping makes a lot more sense when you're in iron and bronze ranks because you face a lot of really dumb bots at those levels.  I still do it sometimes but it's a lot more of a YOLO thing once you start facing mostly real people.

Onslaught is absolutely stupid on Bar Sinister if you have Blue Marvel and Kazar out.

And now I am reminded of the slumberland store in my hometown that had part of the lighting in its sign go out so it read as “slumland” at night.

You could very well be correct. I pretty much quit reading comics around 2000 aside from a few arcs that had stuff I liked and authors/artists I enjoy, like Annihilation Wave.

I grew up in the 80s and early 90s so "stupid buddy cop movie" was kind of a staple.  Knowing what I do now I probably wouldn't have watched so many, but hindsight is 20/20

Fair point.  That could have been 616 for all we know. (I don't remember who was in that scene besides X and Reed, but I don't think there was anyone there that disqualified it from being the 616 illuminati)

Lol, I routinely bring out quotes from Super Troopers but I'm kind of leery of rewatching it in case it has aged badly.

That and every other second that whichever Wahlberg that is is on screen.

Earth 616 is the mainline comics universe.  199999 is the MCU.  1218 is our universe in case you were curious.

I swear everyone should have to work for a year in an entry-level food service or retail job.

There is the added issue that for people prone to conspiratorial thinking, the Jews are at the center of what I like to call “the grand unified conspiracy theory.”

To be fair, that didn't really air anywhere that people were likely to find it, so it was basically always going to be limited to an audience of Stephen King fans.
