Yeah, there are several criticisms from the Jesuits in particular that were like "dude this shit is monstrous"

You aren’t wrong, but I do appreciate seeing an actual article on here and it’s interesting to see someone who was probably too young to really engage with this kind of thing when it aired and to see how they think about it

To be fair, American Dad became a much better show after he stopped having such an active hand in it. Family Guy probably got worse, but now that I'm no longer 20 years old even the early seasons aren't that great now that the shock value has faded.

I would argue that the last three books are the only ones worth the time after the first 3 or 4

I appreciate things like Warhammer 40k lore where you walk into it knowing that everyone is an unreliable narrator but it can be frustrating when you don't know it going in.

As an aside, Wildermyth does a good job with character death.  When someone dies in a mission you can either let them die but execute a powerful dying attack or choose to have them live but flee the battle and take a fairly severe hit to a stat.

Back in 3.99 people had workshopped some broken shit with monks too, so it only makes sense that they'd look there to break things now.  This game attracts min-maxers to no end.

Trump is also funny, sometimes even deliberately.  When he goes into insult comic mode you can at least understand his appeal to some people.

Totally agree. The best tabletop experience I ever had was the marvel game where I had 80 power light manipulation power and my DM was putting me in situations of total darkness because I kept breaking the game

God I miss his history of violence series.

I think Ridley Scott is a great example of this.  Obviously very talented, but can't identify a good script so he's been attached to some really good looking crap over the years.

The real advantage to the cable/live tv streaming version of TCM is seeing that they're playing a movie I never would have thought to try and find on regular streaming services, or to stumble on something I haven't seen and finding out I really liked it.

Don't be silly, that will be in the spider-verse style Nextwave that I hope someone is smart enough to make.

I honestly loved it when they got Tracy Morgan to do Early's voice on Squidbillies with zero explanation, so I can work with this.

Not entirely related, but I did QA on Saints Row 2, and someone in the art department had rendered milk crates with wayyy too much fidelity so the engine was separately rendering each triangle on them.  It wasn't too noticeable in single player, but in co-op and multiplayer it would just tank frame rates into single

“Big government doesnt work, elect me and I will prove it!" Is apparently a better message than I would have thought TBH.

I always liked how Warlock and Thanos kind of became friends just on the basis that they’re the only two living beings with the shared experience of wearing the fully assembled Infinity Gauntlet (Not gonna count Nebula here since she was basically a zombie at the time)

My brother has a real gift for making what he thinks should be the easy encounter the one that nearly kills us, and then we breeze through the hard one.

In the books at least, it's explained that Carrot was adopted and raised by dwarves from a very young age, so he's a dwarf culturally and other dwarves accept him as one of their own because he knows the language and customs, to keep it short.

Calling his time "precious" is introducing facts that aren't in evidence.
