The second car without the wing appears to have a smaller winglet on the front bumper compared to the car with the wing on the back. I’ll bet it’s either some sort of Z/28 package or an upgrade to the 1LE packages for the i4/V6 (second car) and the V8 (front car). Sort of 1LE.R maybe?

Only issue with the LT1 is direct injection. Otherwise it’s great lol

Ha this was so me in high school! Wish I had seen the question originally

Never mind it’s just LMP-1L regs that change next year. LMP-1H change in 2018.

Truth in 24 is what got me into endurance racing and as such I’m a big Audi LMP fan. I hope they don’t leave even though they haven’t done well this season.

By manually selectable I do mean with my right hand (or left depending on if you still drive on the wrong side of the road) after I have pushed in the third pedal, which is commonly referred to as a clutch pedal, with my left leg.

Believe me I was just as shocked when I sat in a Cobalt SS coupe. Tried to adjust the seat and the gap between the seat and door card/door sill on the bottom was next to nothing. The sedan is a little better but I wanted 2 doors.

I’d take the second dyno as a better baseline. I know that dyno A on the west coast is going to show different #’s from dyno B on the east coast, but 322 awhp translates to 370+ at the crank (15% drivetrain loss). I know companies under rate their motors from time to time but this seems like a big difference. If you

Glad someone remembers! The turbo Cobalt SS was faster than an Evo on some lightning lap for C&D. Shame I couldn’t adjust the seat without opening the door lol

Now give us a Cruze SS! A real SS as well, not some half baked ‘RS Sports package’ that’s really a front chin spoiler and some bigger wheels. I want a 2.0 turbo from the Camaro, AWD and 6 gears that are manually selectable.

Well the Ecoboost will have better interior panel gaps that’s for sure. But it’s not a bad package at all with the performance and mpg in one nice looking package. I like the rear end of the new Mustangs but still can’t get over how many other cars the front end looks like.

Yeah definitely agree that this is probably considered ‘conservative’ in terms of tunes for stock components

Lol fat looking? Have you see a 5th gen? They’re huge compared to the new ones

Stock tunes in general aren’t great honestly. I don’t know of any mfr that has a great stock tune or a tune that can’t be improved upon because of emissions.

Interesting to hear this as well. Maybe they were trying way too hard to bring out these tunes and missed this? I havent the slightest clue when it comes to turbo tuning or compressor mapping. Just now beginning to read up on tuning for LS engines lol

Yeah I’d be surprised if the turbo survives this high of boost (whatever it is) for very long. I know of one guy who owns a FoST and he’s running something like 26-28 pounds of boost. I suspect turbo failures will be common with these as I think it’s a fairly tiny turbo.

I’d like to see a dyno of this to see how much boost they’re pushing now. I feel like you can do better with aftermarket tunes. But this is ideal for those who want to keep the warranty so good on Ford for offering it.

How much did sales drop on the Camaro? Just curious since it out sold the Mustang. But it’s gotta be hurting nearly as badly since the whole new car market is declining in sales.
