No, the only way these waivers are allowed is if the other mfr’s all agree to them. How else did Ford run their GT without selling a single car this year? I don’t know if that will happen for 2017, but I think the teams running DPi cars will try and convince/talk to the ACO (I think that’s who it is to convince) to get them certified to run at Le Mans. I want to see them at Le Mans, I also want the other teams to reveal their cars now. The Mazda is absolutely gorgeous.
