America won. That's what happened.

The dark horse...Virgil Exner...

Generally my collector cars are Sunday drivers. I head out in a long loop for a fun drive. I once wound up in Vermont in the MK-IV under overcast skies. By the time I got back to NY it was snowing. Not sure many have driven a MK-IV in the snow...

Kurt Busch is a better driver than you, and he let his car get the better of him. Luckily, he was able to walk away from this wreck. This weekend, when you watch the Indianapolis 500, remember that. Merely qualifying for that race is a monumental feat.

If only the American manufacturers would do the same. Imagine a lot full of new COPO 427 Camaros, Dodge Hemi Darts or Ford Thunderbolts. Best yet would be for Chevy to finish the initial run of the tube frame '63 Corvette Grand Sports, the world would be a better place with all 125 of these around instead of just six.

This is what car makers should be doing, embracing both past and future.
