One day, when she and those who she loves are not dead from COVID-19, she’ll look back and be happy with this decision. Lots of way more memorable stuff to come after high school that will all be way more enjoyable with the knowledge that she was not part of spreading a deadly virus.

My daughter is starting her junior year this fall. She is the only one of her friends opting for virtual learning. They don’t start until the end of August, so I’m hoping that Georgia will be a lesson that they don’t need to go back, but I don’t have high hopes. I’m going to use this month to set up a tutor for math…

My friend’s daughter actually attends this school.  They opted for distance learning choice in lieu of in-person school and they are so glad they did. I just feel sorry for the daughter, who is a senior this year and who will most likely not have the chance to participate in the senior-year milestones/activities.
