I guess I’m curious where she makes any argument about whether daycares should be open or not. I may have missed it.

My whole thing is, why is it legal to assault someone with a deadly virus, through your own carelessness?
I’m in a very liberal area and I’m so tired of “hey, maybe some of these measures are no longer reasonable on an objective, scientific level...” being met with “Oh so you HATE old people and babies and cancer patients?!?!?”
I’ve been saying since the beginning of this pandemic that some people have never sat next to their kid in a hospital bed and it shows.
A rant in agreement with the author: I have a six-year-old and a four-year-old. My older (vaccinated, mask-wearing) kid got COVID at school about two weeks ago. She had a sore throat for less than 24 hours. My younger kid (less than 80 days from being able to be vaccinated) caught if from her despite our best efforts…
I don’t understand what the “return to normal” contingent wants exactly? Maybe it’s different in other parts of the country, but I can do anything I want. I can go to restaurants. I can go to concerts and shows. I can go to bars. I can go to sporting events. I can go to stores. I can go to movies. I can get I can’t…
The idea that measures should continue until the virus is no more are totally unrealistic.
For instance, if working in person or sending children to daycare or school was so dangerous, how do you explain that Europeans didn’t close schools or daycares for very long
I don’t have kids. I can’t imagine the worry you go through. I do, however, have preexisting health issues. According to the back to normal narrative, I’m expendable. I’m never going to have a normal. I’ll be wearing masks for the foreseeable future. I literally see one person a week because I have to. I understand…
William got a lot of pressure to marry Kate, and I don’t believe that’s a solid foundation for a marriage. If my mother had gone to my then-boyfriend/now-husband and asked when the proposal would be coming and it needed to be soon, I would have been mortified and he might consider breaking up with me. But Kate’s mom…
He cheated on her before they were married. I don’t see how that would change afterwards. It’s not like he can be voted out of office or really lose anything he couldn't buy back himself. The worst that could happen is a scandal or divorce, but he, like the rest of the men in his family, aren’t losing anything.
Yep. And the motherfucking Guardian continually congratulates itself on its “fearless” defense of press freedoms. They could at least run blank pages to signify the stories they can’t report.
Normally this kind of show would be part of my standard light-hearted escapist media diet, but not this year. Not another young clueless white person failing upwards and stumbling onto success. That does not feel escapist any more - instead it feels like yet another reminder of what we’re trying to escape.
The plural of “Emily” is not “Emily’s.” It’s “Emilys.”
LOL! I also love to watch this show to laugh at all of them. What is up with the porn lighting? Everyone is glowing and dewy looking.
Please. Those twins - or at least Jason who seems to be the only one that talks - are only capable of loving themselves. And Chrishells is, to put it bluntly, a needy moron.
I wonder how Mary feels about that statement since she is also Jason’s ex...
I was on a flight on Saturday and the flight attendant made no bones about the mask requirement. She said “I have to wear a mask for 12 hours today and I am having hot flashes. If I can do it, you certainly can wear yours for two hours.” That got a huge round of applause, and deservedly so.
