This is one your few hot-takes I can't argue against lol.

Likely. The part that confused me was that the salesmen was pushing the older one, but could make no logical case to do so. Maybe people before had fallen for it.

I’m guessing the used one was priced at full book value while the new one had rebates, etc to knock down the sticker price.

I had this happen a few times when trying to buy a new Wrangler. Salesmen kept saying “well we have a new 2012 here for 3X,xxx,” which was higher than the same model ordered new as a 2013. Took me a few seconds to understand what he was saying, as I couldn’t quite figure out why he’s trying to sell me on an older car

Considering there’s no suspension in a kart, I imagine there was much hurting of the butt once the adrenaline subsided.

Oh, no. I merely feel they should play a more neutral position (BEFORE BEING AGREED AS A REPRESENTATIVE) rather than attempting to sell their services... even though that is dumb and contrary to any other business. I feel like they are shiestery ambulance chaser types and often start/escalate trouble where other means

Couldn’t you loosen up the bolts and fix the gaps once you get one home?... after all it would be weird to buy an Alfa and not have to do work to it

Wow, in Wyoming we just kill all the communists

I am terrified of jack failure.

Manufacturers do not create capacity without there first being demand. That’s Business 101.

Tesla had always released a concept first and collected deposits well before production is planned to start (the Roadster, Model S, Model X). It’s already publicly known for a long time that limited production of the Model 3 will start at the end of 2017 and Tesla’s overall production will ramp to 500k annually (total

2nd place.

I’d buy one. I want a comfortable daily driver I can use to haul stuff on weekends for home & yard projects and load up with gear for camping trips. For me, the price point is a factor.

You’ve failed, Near-Sighted Mustang

Hey, congrats to all the participants in the thread, there was some solid gold in there. Also, I would like to dedicate this COTD to Mate Petrany and the Budapest team — best of luck in their next endeavors, whatever those may be.

I do frequently use an impact gun to put my lugnuts on. But I also use a socket that stops turning once it reaches 25 ft-lb, then tighten it the rest of the way with a torque wrench to 90 ft-lb.
