Jalopnik is too ‘mature’ now to do a wheelie.

To drift at speed you need grip, as counter intuitive as that sounds. That means that very powerful cars are set up for as much rear grip as possible hence the need for lots of power. It is a very odd sensation to be pushed into the back of your seat while going around a corner.
All of them ( ._.)
If you ask me, the Government is doing the wrong thing here. They should OMIT the cars already sold that are affected by the issue from having to meet those emissions standards in order to protect the consumer. The cars aren’t unsafe and only emit a little more out of the tailpipe. It will literally be worse for the…
holy overhang batman.....
YES!
Just being a bit pedantic, but they are not just known to burn oil, that’s literally what they are designed to do. You make it sound like a bad thing, when really if you aren’t (and don’t have the pre-mix) then you’re going to have problems.
Thanks $kay!
I was going to ask about that same thing. Seems like a potential issue.
Ran a data center for 5 years, I wholeheartedly agree. First thing I did when I took over was had my team switch to velcro. It’s also too easy to crush or constrict a cable or hose with a zip tie.
I kind of have my doubts about that claim, too. They should be light and small, but it kind of looks like they designed a neat shape first and designed everything around that.
We’ve already seen those running boards before, right?
I think perspective is always something to keep in mind as well though. Yes, that doesn’t mean that Volkswagen wasn’t wrong for cheating, but 40 times legal levels is still a tiny number and how often were they really putting that amount of emissions out? Was that just the max number that was seen in testing for 1% of…
So, I went through a few manufacturers tags over the last month and a half...since this isn’t about the M2, it’s about diversity.
Didn’t anyone tell you that you need to poll your readership to make sure you don’t post anything someone doesn’t want to read?
As another longtime resident of Jaloptropolis, I’d have to give a big ole disagree pardner. Tesla has been doing things in the last dozen of so years that have made the whole automotive world stand up and take notice. Setting up a nationwide network of charging stations, having the #2 best selling plug in vehicle,…
The next one was a big one and thirty yards long — a coach built limoship and obviously designed with one aim in mind, that of making the beholder sick with envy. The paintwork and accessory detail clearly said ‘Not only am I rich enough to afford this ship, I am also rich enough not to take it seriously.’ It was…
I didn’t want to affect resale value so I can only drive it 200 yards before it overheats now (which isn’t a big deal because driving it without power steering sucks). Oh, and the windows are all stuck deep inside the doors. But it’s NUMBERS MATCHING.
Damn! numbers matching?! I bet the cooling system numbers don't match, that'll knock the collectability down.
the 25 year rule of idiocy. Quite frankly if it was for the environment the last thing you want is an OLDER car with worst emission, but EPA thinks differently of course... This rule is pretty much suggesting that not many people would spend money to import something that old, so it shouldn’t make a big impact.
