Do these things actually sell at these prices? Every time I go look at STI/EVO prices I can’t help but think everyone on CL has been hitting the CP. No one actually buys a second hand, 10 year old, modified $40k car for $25k do they?

I saw a lot of these cars in person (both from the first and second movie). Almost all ones from the first were all hot garbage up close and clearly just meant to look the part. The ones from the second were better but still slapped together (seems they had more done in the “show” category with very little in the go).

This seems like a pretty big leap from the one or two decrepit old ice cream trucks that I wont let my kids near.  One looks like the truck driven by the clown in the demolition derby game and the other looks like a modified “free candy” van.

I know people will disagree but I think the V6 S4 is a good candidate for this.  Can be had for under $30k in great condition.  Fast.  The V6T is a workhorse in a ton of other Audi vehicles and has been super reliable across the board.
