I didn’t read the article, I’m just amazed at how much less horrible he looks with the goatee.

Or, take my brother, who has had more cars in the past two years than I’ve had hair colors (i.e. a lot).

I guess technically it could be a flat plane 0-degree crankshaft with all of the crankpins on one side.  It wouldn’t function obviously.

Ironically, I might prefer the Lexus grill to the one currently on the Alphard...

Ok, so we use golf carts to get around and it was well known that one of the carts was modified to have the batteries in parallel for moar power (vs in series for longer range) and we always fought to get to that cart.

Derp, missed that tag.

Damn I hope that he and the attendants all spoke a common language. It would suck if you all had to just gesture awkwardly for things on an empty flight. Otherwise, while a bit boring, it sounds awesome. Better service, no one fighting for the armrest. Might have been the best flight of this guys life.

I’m pretty sure Apple’s game plan has changed significantly based on the last set of announcements. There will never be year over year hardware/software breakthroughs as people seem to expect from any new model year phone. Instead, they are going to release what they can (incrementally better phones) and instead

No, they don’t. Large corporations have to answer to investors and BoDs.  Want to shell out $15B and think you will get by without knowing how and where the money is coming from is laughable.  Maybe tiny amounts under $10M they will set aside for pet projects, R&D etc but big boy dollars get reviewed and approved by

Big difference. A company decides how to pay for it first, and then plans the work (or vice versa in most cases). In this case, they don’t know how to pay for it nor do they have a plan to make it work.

Is this the same James Chen of Axis Wheels fame?  Guy always seemed cool and drove his cars instead of hiding them away.  Surprised his Spyker isn’t yellow...

It always amazes me how the government manages to pass something with absolutely no details. I can’t imagine going to my boss and saying “hey, I need to fix this thing that my own mismanagement screwed up. I need a huge sum of money but don’t worry because we don’t need to impact the company at all. Also, I offer zero

This. Its the only restaurant coleslaw I can tolerate. Its still crap compared to something homemade but its the best fast food one for sure.

Lol, did you make it to the third paragraph?

Sucks that for a company like Mazda (and many others I am sure), the required dealership network operates very differently than how corporate Mazda would wish them to.  It’s such a strange model.

Ah liquidmoly. Only oil that straight up identifies which brand you are working on.

Mostly this. I can’t do the old car thing anymore. I’ll drive something from the 90s on the weekends with no kids but my daily and my wife’s all have super high safety ratings.

Another major downside compared to driving is cost per person. While the air vs rail argument is the same, if you and a spouse and 2 kids need to be somewhere your rail/plane cost just quadrupled.
