I know there was a facelift but I would hardly call it major. My point is that the weak V8s started way before 2010

I recieved a 1987 Regal from my grandmother when she lost her license, sadly the V8 and not the GNX.

Worse part was the V8 model was in the low 100s...

A police chief out here once told my father in law to put a special police pin through his wallet so it was visible when showing your license. Since it was related to the Sheriffs booster donations the correct response when asked which booster you were a part of was “both”.

In 2010 Ford came out with an all-new updated design for the Mustang. The problem is that first year of cars got the 4.6-liter V8 with 315 horsepower.

As someone who had a ‘87 Regal without the turbo or special paint (at least it was a V8 right?) I have to say that I completely agree. The GNX is amazing and I desparately want one, but these have always been $20k cars. $120k is nuts.

2004 Mustang he just paid $4000 for? At least he is only out $2500...

Not only is the 86 one of the least desirable years, the EF just wasn’t that great of a car. An argument could be made for the CRX but other than light weight these were pretty bad. The Si is worse in this case as it adds weight and a sunroof.

Its been a while since I did prep work for a body shop and those solid secondary panels were just starting to appear. They are a damn nightmare compared to older panels which basically consisted of removing a screw or two, popping off the interior panel, and peeling back the plastic. The glue they use for the plastic

Not sure where you live but that is the exact opposite of how it is here. The large wing alone is enough for them to follow you for a while.

This, the car itself is not good at all, its just the bits that make it an EVO that turn it into something that used to be special

I hate the internet every time I go looking for Evos. These cars are great throwbacks to when they dominated the streets in the early 2000s. Today however, they are really just middle of the pack fast. The fact that everyone thinks their EVO is somehow magically worth $20k+ is maddening. These are fast versions of

What?

None have the Zetec and all were autos. They may drive forever but it is insane to buy one used from a dealership for $10k when you drive them off the lot and can’t sell them for $3k.

My mother has purchased no less than 4 Ford Focuses. Not even the newer ones that are halfway decent. The first gen American ones that were garbage throwaway cars. They bought so many that they gave one each to my younger brother and sister. I guess resale is irrelevant since they plan to drive them into the ground.

Damn, I had a 2006 and we all thought it was awesome that it came out with that much power. Now my minivan is pushing close to those numbers.

The side view and doors give it a very Rx8 kind of feel.

I’m not a huge fan of lobster (now crab on the other hand...) but once you start heading down this path doesn’t the next step basically say you can’t step on a cockroach?

Too heavy and too late:

SCC covered some crazy years ago who put the GTX drivetrain into a Festiva. Can’t find the article unfortunately.
